Let Players Buy/Trade Housing Again?

This major feature is available to you on multiple smaller servers.

Making reselling easier - aka: removing the random timer wont make it easier for returning or new people.
People were asking for absurd amount of gil (and even real money...) - amounts of gil that you, as a returning or new player, most likely wont have to begin with.
Letting people sell houses again wont magically increase the amount of houses in the game either - an overpopulated server like Balmung will never have enough houses for everyone, as long as they stick to their current system.
Being able to just throw (maybe even real) money at it, isnt a fix.

I agree that allowing reselling is a stupid idea. But come on now...of course housing is available on smaller servers. And you know precisely where housing doesn't mean anything? Smaller servers.

Balmung needs housing for the roleplay community that actually uses them on a daily basis. Switching to some other barely populated server in order to get a house that you're the only person that will ever be in is a ridiculous solution and always has been.

So stay within the limits of the game instead of trying to go god-mode. RP you're poor and cut out of the housing ownership market so you have to make due with an apartment.

So the flippers could just sit on the house for X numbers of months before selling them for ten to twenty times what they are worth? Hard pass.

Do have to admit that's it probably the largest on the NA realms, though Mateus is close. There's an RP community here on Coeurl but it is on the small side.

I mean locked houses are even in the extreme minority, just use some else's house for your rp.

...why doesnt it mean anything on smaller servers?
A house can be used for more than RP and RP can be done without a house.

Its not like Balmung would have a greater need for housing because of RP but because your server is to full.

I like decorating houses, for example - there is no need for anyone to use them afterwards, I had a lot of fun spending several days placing and replacing furniture. When I was a child I had a dollhouse that I would only redecorate ever so often, but never actually play with. So a house on a smaller server can mean something indeed.

And others have already mentioned ways around your lack of a house for your RP - use an FC- or friends-house or look for someone who has opend their house for RP (with the new estate tags that might even be easier now!), get an apartment or FC-room. Roleplay as homeless person or as nomand. Join a smaller server that has RP going on aswell.
Choose whats more important to you - your own home or your RP-community?

I know this sucks but within the given system you can only for the way around it that works best for you.
