TV's in houses maybe?

The only way they would do it would involve the duty recorder, but then that's only limited to 2 duties being stored (so not much choice), and they get wiped every patch. Unfortunately, I don't see a way for this to work. The other ideas such as sinks and toilets however are much easier to implement, and we already have working showers as someone has pointed out.

It'd be cool if you could display the latest patch trailers on them maybe, kinda like that old Playstation 3 hangout thing you could watch various trailers for games on TVs all over the maps.

Other than that, a television screen would look horribly out of place in the residences... I'm not trying to walk into PSN's Home or whatever.

The allagans had hologram projectors and display monitors, the garleans also have computers and displays, and our workshop has a hologram display for airships; I hardly think a TV is out of the scope of whats possible. Personally I'd like a monitor/projector built into the Unending Journey that can display a cutscene of your choice.

Yep! You just float trick the picture just barely behind the black "wall" within the trophy. That way, when you interact with it, removing this black wall, originally revealing the cactaur, you now show the picture frame instead. Whoever originally discovered this was really amazing.:3 I also used a display stand to hold and a glade lanturn inside it, to lighten it up a bit.

Wow! That is absolutey amazing and extremely clever. I thought I had seen it all when it came to clipping tricks with furniture, but it seems like I was wrong! Thank you for sharing this amazing idea! ^-^

A real TV would be great but we have a couple options for TV-Esque items p-p Beign able to watch the video recorder from it would be amazzzinnggg

The problem is, the role gameplay and lore wise such a device could take is already taken by the non-technological Unending Journey and Duty Recorder, which are effectively journals you've written of your past adventures, and the playback is literally your character's reliving the events in their head. Although there are some display-like devices seen in Eorzea (most notably the machines for Lord of Verminion in Gold Saucer), I suspect they work somewhat like a more advanced camera obscura and not actually a TV.
