What do you think was the worst thing this game experienced from 2.0 until now?

Yes, they are indeed homages and references, however, they have still been a stand alone thing that has been able to contribute to the overall game, with it's own story that's easily accessible...

I'm aware of that. The purpose of even making that statement is pointing out that XIV isn't somehow this thing running on originality that doesn't borrow from previous series. Plot, enemy models, bosses, UI, etc.- doesn't matter how accessible it is, the point is if they want to take something from a previous title and implement it, they can, and have been doing that. XI obviously isn't an exception either.

the difference with Eureka is while it has all that stuff... the grind is horrific that many people tapped out and the ones still going are constantly bringing up the faults and issues with it...

That's fine, and they have been and should be letting their grievances be heard. Eureka- and especially Pagos are poorly designed for reasons that go beyond "they copied something in XI, it's bad, therefore everything about XI is bad." Tell me, if some MMO was to emulate how XIV handles/handled their glamour and personal housing- not even all the satisfying or convenient aspects- just the restrictive and punishing ones like needing to hold several types of glamour prisms and extremely limited housing plots- does that automatically justifiably imply everything else from the game must be as badly designed as well? Even though you suggested much better content ideas and designs?

Essentially, that's what Eureka is if you're trying to draw the conclusion that everybody wanted to lose exp and level down, repeatedly chain hundreds of mobs with carpal tunnel-inducing keyboard presses while not uttering a word to your party members and pray that you make progress with RNG in the process. Because really, I don't know anyone worth listening to who had rose-tinted glasses on who asked for that. If you think that defines XI you either have absolutely no knowledge of it, have a very narrow-minded view of the game or at least very biased negative opinion against it.
