French White Mage in a run that I selected as English only of the Vault spamming Cure III and Medica II throughout the entire run then complaining about no MP and all the aggro. Tried to complain with some broken french, wasn't impressed. Called me something better not said here, then left halfway through the 2nd boss.

Thankfully we got another proper healer within a few minutes.

Not as bad as some of the stories I have read here, but here it goes. I am recently returning after a break and playing catch up. GS is 317 so getting there. The dungeon is Hell's Lid (I like this place) Tank is at 60k 1 dps is doing decent, but the other is a bit lagging. (which is fine) nobody complains about the healing/dps I am doing so all is well. I decide to run Dirunal as its fun and allows me some breathing room. We get to just before the first or second boss can't remember, its the one where the tank normally pulls big and crosses over a bridge. We are doing great, I pop some regen after the tank has all the aggro and toss Essential Dignity and an eye for an eye. We are doing well then all of a sudden the fight seems to be going a bit longer then the tank anticipated. We wipe no big deal tank says lets try another pull like that and we do. This time we make it a little longer before we sucumb to a wipe again.

This time the not so hot dps tells me, we are dying because you are using regen. I don't say anything, and he goes on for a minute. Tank says regen isn't the problem but has the decency to not flat out call out the lacking dps. So on that I say Mr Tank, in all fairness I am only at 317 ilvl so maybe I just can't handle the big one here yet. Tank says sounds like a plan. So we break it up into two parts and we do fine.

The moral of the story is even after the dude/dudette complained about my healing, I continued to do the job I was assigned to do plus some dps. Keep in mind I was cycling cards every time it was up for the dps and tank. Not to mention making sure I was always using time dilation and things like synastry and everything else in my toolkit. It just goes to show even when you are as proactive as you possibly can be people will still find something to complain about. At the end of the day I just remind myself it is a game and doesn't really matter.

Just got another story from World of Darkness during roulette this weekend with our tank as MT, every hit since taking a big chunk of his HP. I died at "Level 100 Flare" because no one wanted to move. After the first boss A dps said about not enough regen, healers should heal more and so. Co-healer pointed out that the tank didn't used CD at all, so I examine tank and he was a few gears still in ilvl 30. Not a big deal, many are in 120s. Then five hand dragon was painful, I have to spam Cure II to keep tank alive, while everyone is getting hit by everything. Never have I ran out of MP and still not keeping everyone alive in this raid before. Then 3-heads good boy was better, tank started using CD, that dps still dropping in "advice" once in a while, then my co-healer went into belly(We were C), and I recalled rarely see him/her healing, these got my attention so I decided to watch my co-healer. Then last boss tanks tried his best and lived, but I found out my co-healer was only spamming Stone II most of the time...Then that dps tried to throw out a "Life advice" at the end of the raid about "a few 30ilvl gears were not the problem", while the tank left without a word. I could have done better of course, what made but me upset the most was these type of "Ignore what is wrong because it sort of work out" advice. I rarely get that mad, I can still smile and jump around while people drops like flies in Lighthouse and RC.

I don't have a specific one but there's just things that are really annoying me

People not recognizing it's THEIR fault for dying.
Yes, excuse me if you die on an oneshot mechanic. Yes, excuse me that i can't always instantly heal you.

Or people that instantly move after a res ALL the time even if you tell them not to.
Bro, i'm trying to heal you, please wait till the heal hits you so you don't just die on an Aoe.

And then you're at fault because THEY died and don't notice in the slightest that maybe i can't instantly res them over and over and over.
Especially in Raids where things CAN and will snowball sometimes...

Not like i NEED commends to let me know that I did well, but not getting any after working your butt off to keep dying people alive just feels... like they don't care about it because THEY died(more than once.... twice... three times) and that's all your fault

That's what's kind of horror for me, same for Healer that do absolutely nothing... stand there and watch you being dead, hmm..

BUT the biggest of all horrorstories: ASTs that have NO idea how to use ANY of their cards to the point of not even drawing them or holding ewers only for themself. Scary...

I can deal with a lot but being called a "bad" healer because they died on something you can't change...

I feel your pain on this one. I think sometimes folks think us healers do things on purpose not realizing there are many encounters in this game that rely on said person dodging. Some fights are specifically built this way as a matter of fact.

I to have had these kinds of issues, and I tend to shrug it off, as I have played as a healer since the launch of this game, and will continue to do so. I love healing, but I hate that some people just do not understand that we can't solve every type of dmg mitigation problem in a dungeon.

If this is still alive I will put in my horror story. Well maybe not really a horror story per say but one that I will remember till the end of time (or at least until I quit this game)

First time in Aurum Vale back in Heavansward. I was leveling Scholar at the time (still my main today) and finally unlocked Aurum Vale. Friends say it's the worst dungeon to heal. I say "Give me a challenge!". Oh boy was I in for something else. Go in, protect everyone, we proceed through the dungeon. Pulls up until the first boss were... interesting. The tank pulled a lot. I was having trouble healing the pull but I managed to get through it. First boss comes in and the shit storm commenced. I didn't know the mechanics of the boss (didn't know there were guides out at the time) so I was utterly confused on what was happening. It turns out the other people didn't know what mechanics were either. So the entire party were getting the poison stacks and nobody was removing them. Leeches weren't working so I was panic healing. Wipe. Okay, maybe next run will go better. Also, no one tried to explain mechanics to me (probably because they don't know what mechanics are). Fight the boss again. Wipe x2. Continuing my confusion I was trying to figure out the fight aaaannndddd... kicked. OKAY.

Honestly, if I weren't playing with my friends at the time I probably would have quit the game then and there. Happy I didn't. Ever since that day I was never kicked out of a dungeon party ever again... Can't say about raiding party because I tried to DRG on O8s and failed completely.

Aurum Vale is one of mine "I will never do it again dungeon" next to Pharos Sirius and Stone Vigil, it is still painfully nowadays in Aurum Vale.
Because you may meet player without soulstone and/or half of their gear missing.

I recently ran Aurum Vale as SCH with a pully tank so totally feel your pain. Glad I had a DPS that was backing me up and noting that the DRK was pulling too much but that was definitely one of the most horrific Aurum Vale runs I've ever had aside from when I tried to tank it...

Bad thing with Aurum is that no one has their lvl 50 skill which is super annoying. Plus its one of those 'mob' dungeons where its big open areas where if the tank or dps aren't aware of the aggro chains and the free roaming patterns it can quickly become a rage inducing wipe. Unfortunately the stereotype for tanks makes many play hard instead of playing smart. It takes a little of both. I don't sweat Aurum anymore since i know its just going to be shenanigans no matter what lol.

Aurum Vale is such a rage-inducing mess.

I switched from WHM to AST two months or so ago. My friends and I had to do Aurum Vale -- I think it was the highest level dungeon for our one friend.

We've all been away from the game for roughly a year. The rust is thick.

There's no possible way this could go badly.

    It went badly.
