...but I was specifically referring to people who post nothing but negative comments about the game. When the posters in question have done that for years then suggesting that they try their luck elsewhere isn't an unreasonable suggestion.

And how does that tell you that they dont have anything positive left in the game? You need an active sub to post so I am quite sure that there is still something in the game for them otherwise they would just pay to complain. I post a lot of negative posts too (but also positive ones if a thread for it exists) but I still like the game enough that I pay for it. But the direction it went with the last expansion (thus at least a year) is something that I find horrible.

In the end I quoted you because you said that people should not tone police while youself stated in another thread that people should accept negative opinions and should just not read the thread if they have nothing to say. Which is exactly the opposite of your words here. (We only said that to people that only came back to this thread to state how absurd it is to still discuss it. If they had arguments for or against it, then that would be no problem at all.)

Its just kinda funny to read how its fine to be really negative when its something a poster dislikes, but as soon as its a topic about something they like (like the side quest) its not okay to discuss it negatively and people are then overdramatic, not fans of FF or this game and should quit. You cant have both..either you are negative in some topics and accept that others complain about things you like too or you should be against complains. Taking sides depending on what someone likes is just hypocrisy. (As in saying that complaining is only right if I complain but not if others do.)

This being the most active topic these days tells a lot about the state of the game.
1.x players wouldn't bother to complain if they were pleased with the game otherwise, other players wouldn't care of someone complaining if they were actually busy with the game, and the devs would have found something better than giving an old reward if they were able to make better event.

If the game was in a sane state, the discussions would be mostly about the exploration of Eureka, except there is nothing worthy to discover, following the fate train half-afk is good enough. Heaven-on-High has already disappeared from discussions, and everything else is outdated or dead.

I'm sure someone will try to discredit this because they no idea how many times this has been stated by multiple developers. Players insisting everyone with a negative opinion leave and trying to shut down discussion is doing more damage to games.

So many people with little to say or actually contribute to the discussion. I'm kinda disappointed they're doing this, myself. Have been glamouring these since I got them and it has led to some great conversations and new friends. Seems this entire thing could have been avoided by just making it a replica item. No idea why that seems like such a crazy unreasonable idea to the people that "couldn't care less about some earrings they cant even see".

How long do new people have to wait to get items that are 3, 4 or 5 years old? What if the content that those items comes from doesn't exsist anymore? Do people that own such trophy items actually glamour them a lot or only sometimes or not at all?

I glamour them on every gearset that I use. Here is my Tumblr going back a few years, you can see that I use them in just about every picture of my character. I may change hairstyles, or colors or other things, but they have always remained.

Most of them probably forgot that they own them until they saw the thread and then went on to complain how SE could do such a thing since its such a unique item from such a unique fight from a game that doesn't exist anymore.

It is a special item, but its from a bygone age, and how long until its suitable to be given out to other players. I'm not trying to invalidate other peoples acomplishements, I could never do Nael Hard in 1.0 myself, but that fight is well over 6 years old at minimum.

I know but yes they are really mad because their precious treasure is available for others now too. For them this item has to be forever only for legacy players no matter how long the other game is dead.
