New Event......really?

Talk to the NPCin Limsa "I CAN DO DIS!!"

Go to Costa to talk to another npc "Okay game!"

Talk to npc again, receive emote "Ummmm...okay?"

Talk to event vendor, buy housing event items for 5,000 gil each "Uhhhhhhh?"

*looks at event jump puzzle, acquired emote and housing things already*

"Do.....do I really need to even bother? Just for swimsuit #50 that will just sit in storage?"

I'm not complaining about the puzzle per say. I'm just wondering why even bother putting in anything when everything but that one item is just given to you for doing talky bits >_>

For reals though, here's what I would have really liked for a summer event. I'm sure not everyone would like it but who cares about those guys anyway?

Queue up for a special pvp map (at Costa del Sol?) where class doesn't matter, weapons and actions are all replaced with water guns and water balloons and stuff. Doesn't need to be complicated, just a few actions. Could incorporate heavy, stuns, knockback into the actions.

Losers would still get rewarded of course, but maybe less than the winners.

Now this would be fun! Thumbs up from me!

I have not tried yet but i do not mind the idea of jump puzzles

I had fun but felt that the quest was a little too short.
I was also hoping for some kind of time trial aspect to it to allow us to compete with one another, still, I had a good time!

Same here. I like jumping puzzle. The little backstory was nice. Maybe a little too short, and not much to do, but fun.

A lot better than FATE farming in any case.

I'm not a fan of anything jump related in this game due to the archaic jump system but this one didn't bother me as the jumps needed for the achievement are well within the game's capabilities. I am disappointed at the shortness of the activity as I recall past events having more to do. I guess I shouldn't be surprised as less quest/story related content has been the trend with each content pkg SE has put out since SB.

I absolutely hate this event. I hate jumping puzzles. I am terrible at them. It's bad enough that the sightseeing log is locked behind getting those last 3 in Kugane. People with poor hand eye coordination CAN'T DO THESE. I spent 3 hours trying to do this. I want the glasses and the title, but no, it has to be a friggin' jumping puzzle. I would have liked ANYTHING but this.

if you know someone with a two seater mount, they should be able to do it for you. Just ride while they jump.

The basic jumping course isn't even all that terrible or hard to do once you get the general idea down of when and where you should be jumping. I've even done the easy course jumping on my Night Pegasus and my hand eye coordination isn't perfect either. I've seen people doing the jumps with the Midgard mount and that thing is incredibly bulky, same thing with the Fat Chocobo or Fat Moogle mounts (hilarious to see though).

The people arguing that it's too hard or that it's bad enough that the sightseeing log for Stormblood is locked behind Kugane Tower obviously hasn't done some of the awful jumping vistas in ARR where if you had gotten something wrong and the weather changed, welp....better wait a whole day or week until the opportunity comes back again!

Seriously, this is tame compared to Kugane Tower and I was beyond happy that the "bonus challenge" has nothing at the top or that the swimsuits and title weren't locked behind those jumps. I've done Kugane Tower, I did the entirety of the ARR Vistas, I've done my time SE.

It was refreshing to not see a FATE grind for the millionth time in a row, but I second Momomi's idea where a water gun or water balloon free-for-all and dodgeball like event would have been fun to do.

I'm as bad as one can be at jumping puzzle but even so I like the event. It was a good idea. Maybe a bit short on story though. But nice.

Let me correct myself - You only have to finish the course once. Yes, you'll probably fall off trying, but it's in 3 sections, so you don't even need to go back to the start if you fall off in the second/third parts.
