Doubt this is gonna be a thing, no one is gonna relog 10+ times just to sit there anyways with the rest of the party unable to help kill stuff.

All you need is two or three people to kill the bosses there, really. At least in some cases it'll still take less time than the cutscenes.

The bosses with 8 people take what, 30-40sec each?! Of course, not counting Livia in her first phase. So with 3 people they'll take 2min? Of course, you need to add the time for relogging, and that's can take a while, so it's not effective for the shorter cutscenes certainly. But you can still shave off a fine chunk of time I bet.

I agree, how dare these first timers enjoy the finale of the game they paid for instead of being forced to choose between missing the cutscenes or doing the fights.

How dare these new players want to enjoy the storyline instead of enjoying the experience of speedrunning the content to farm tomestones.

How dare these people not want to enjoy the authentic and extremely climactic experience of going to an inn and watching 2 dungeons worth of cutscenes after the fact because people only want to get their tomestone reward as fast as possible and then leave without saying a word. People who play this game are completely selfless and wouldn't complain about a dungeon they voluntarily que for taking much longer with no regard to the experience of the new player, nor how upset they would be watching the final cutscenes take place as they have no idea what happened between them.

Not to mention that the sentient grizzly bear that sits in your room holding a gun to your head and forcing you to que for Main Scenario roulette doesn't care how long the dungeon takes, and will make you que for the roulette every day without fail.

as someone who doesnt care about lore, those msq dungeons were a pain to even skip all those cutscenes, to imagine (as a new player) to have to be forced to watch them would have been a torture for me, and im pretty sure im not the only one that thinks that way.

Just because you don't care about the cutscenes doesn't mean everyone else doesn't, you can skip cutscenes on your own time if you want, but don't expect everyone to feel the same way.

Devs can correct this by simply having the cut scene replay from the start when logging back in.

Not sure if Im a huge fan of not being able to bypass cutscenes or not, but the fix to the alt+f4 thing is not that hard a problem.

And even then, with how they implemented it in these particular dungeons, even a lot of people who do enjoy cutscenes think this idea was less than ideal. And so long as this remains group content, and a roulette, to boot, there will be this tug-o-war between the sides. Many people play this game, and unless they use a story skip, each and every single person has to go through those dungeons at least once. Whatever solution will be reached (mind, what we have now is NOT a solution) should offer the least amount of suffering to all involved.

I figured someone would throw it back at me as soon as I submitted the post, but anyways, this dungeon has been out for what, 5 years? They just now got around to "fixing" it so part of me seriously doubts SE would do anything major to the dungeon aside from making it squadron accessible or increasing the rewards, the former of which would take forever because getting a squadron to level 50 can't exactly be done in a timely manner. They could just add generic adventurer npcs, but that would be an issue of its own.

I'm all for flexible solutions, but I don't have any love for the speedrunners who only want to skip the cutscenes and do the content while ignoring the new player, plus I'm pretty sure the current MSQ roulette will be the closest to a solution we'll have in a long time.

no need to go offensive mode cuz there are people (me including) that are not interested in MSQ, since those people have the same right as those who are interested, and they dont have a choice to skip
