They're not demons or dragons or reptiles, if anything the only headcanon from that thread thats sorta plausible would be Allagan experiments but they'd end up being manmade humanoid mammals vs. regular ol humanoid mammals... and even then it'd be kiiiiinda pushing it since Au Ra as we know them existed during the Allagan empire (Odin minion + HoH spoilers).
