When the inventory is empty, it compresses to nothing. When the inventory is full, it spends more time processing the inventory data. You'd have to ask someone who has 8 retainers if they noticed a loading time difference with 4.35 with the updated search.I thought this sounded pretty interesting, so I just tested this out with my lvl 50 with hardly anything, and my lvl 70 that has waaay too many items in their invy and needs cleaning out. No changes to loading time of zones that I could perceive. A little disappointed.

I have around 4 retainers completely full, a pretty full invy and an almost full chocobo saddlebag. Compared to my lvl 50 with 2 empty retainers, and an almost completely empty invy, I honestly couldn't tell a difference. Maybe it depends on the computer you are using.

Pointing out your hypocrisy is staggeringly constructive. If we're to go by the metrics the forum provides us, it would seem more people agree with me than you by nature of the like button. If you have nothing constructive to say, don't butt in. It doesn't take a genius to read WoW's patch notes, or watch any of the videos critical of pretty much everything WoW or FFXIV does, and the criticism Blizzard gets is "overly reliant on PTR" where the criticism SE gets is "treats PC as a second class citizen".
We don't get things in FFXIV "because PS4", that is not Yoshi-P saying that, that is the user base saying that, because Yoshi-P said that in response to why we don't get addons.
Your examples above are also irrelevant as they still don't give concrete insight into your statement. You are still making assumptions and treating them as facts, when the poster you quoted did the same thing you ridiculed them. I am simply returning the favor.
So to be clear, the poster literally did exactly what you said and discerned no noticeable difference. Why not just be an adult and admit you were wrong, or rather, cite more examples to better defend your position, because being repeatedly dismantled has to be tiring... Right?Pay attention to how much loading time there is between zone changes, 95% of that time is just inventory and inventory-like data. If you have more stuff in your inventory it takes longer to load. New character with nothing? Pretty much instant loads.
Keep moving that goal post! When the inventory is empty, it compresses to nothing. When the inventory is full, it spends more time processing the inventory data. You'd have to ask someone who has 8 retainers if they noticed a loading time difference with 4.35 with the updated search.
