yea GL with this they put add-ons on permanent hiatus due to them being unable to stop people from making parsers with it. that's how anti parser yoshi p is.

Don't worry, if you yell loudly enough then Yoshida will bend to the demands of the community. It just means we need to be even louder if we want to get a basic MMO functionality as badly as people want to wear bunny ears as a catboy or play as Viera or Dancer or Blue Mage! Louder! Rise!

I'm glad others Are adding to this, yeah the "good enough" stone is a joke, sure if I can stand in one place the whole fight I'll be fine, but blm + movement intense fights = craah dps. So if I can tweak my rotation to get just a bit more damage I'd be happy. To be able to check the gains of using b4 or not in my opener, with or without thunder ect. If roulette throws me in the same dungeons over and over let me compete with my previous scores and try new things with different comps.
If you want us to just focus on surface of rotation and not quantify our spells, feel stronger with gear upgrades, check our Meld gains With ss, crit, int, or direct hit and actually see all these results and actually add a new element of fun or interest to game, just remove damage numbers entirely and we'll just watch the animations blindly, using the stone, sea, sky logic
As a BLM main, always start in your Umbral phase with B3 going into B4 because your Umbral Hearts will allow more usage of Fire IV and always toss out a Thunder 3 during your Umbral phase. Your damage is pretty dependent on keeping that one DoT up and Thundercloud procs are always useful if you know you can sneak a Thundercloud proc in during Astral without losing your Enochain and without losing that proc.I'm glad others Are adding to this, yeah the "good enough" stone is a joke, sure if I can stand in one place the whole fight I'll be fine, but blm + movement intense fights = craah dps. That's where the tweaking come in: knowing just how safe you have it in Astral when thundercloud procs and you're not in Umbral.
I agree we need something. If they are too concerned about numbers etc, even something like a traffic light system would be a start.
Red-are you trying to tickle it to death?
Yellow-you’re getting there.
Green-optimal
Or something
Well we already have stone-sky-sea, which is more or less SE's interpretation of this.
For the next step, I'm in agreement with the OP. See your own numbers only. Lets you work on self improvement, and see how you're doing in the context of a fight, and compare yourself to past encounters or other jobs. But it doesn't give others the tools to be toxic over your numbers.
Which the PC parser already shows everyone. So really, this would just allow console players (and less technical PC players) to fly a bit less blind.
They should have it show in a results screen when the duty is cleared. Then do the F-S rank thing based on whether a player met baseline DPS/etc goals as intended for that content(call B rank the standard level). If they perform below it it plays a sad trombone sort of tune for them and their rolls on drops are reduced to the same % as their below-standard score.
You mean like the "Grade E" music from Sonic Unleashed? They should have it show in a results screen when the duty is cleared. Yes, let's created 2 echo chambers where there is zero discussion on the matter. That's really a positive push for the community.
/sarcasm off
This reply is not really needed too improve your desire for a phraser. If you want a phraser, the *community* first must improve there behavior in high level duty's. So you can convince the developers in adding a phraser wont hurt the community much.
