Although I didn't get to get my ticket, I'll likely still go to Vegas and meet up with my friends that way. Hopefully next time things go better and more planning will be done.

Which people ? Which environment ? What formal statement ?Your sarcasm wasn't clearly demonstrated then. Especially in the atmosphere of an environment where you already knew people were going to have tensions running at high. But I digress. We can agree to disagree.
I'll disregard what you say as well. Because it's just someone who's likely looking to troll and have a bit of fun.
Are you in your own little world... It's not about agree or disagree. You can wait for you *formal statement* , which wont help you. There is 1 fact: You dont have a ticket, Deal with it. You are just wasting your time.
You added relevant information about your history of fanfest doesnt give your privelege above others.
Sorry, for not supporting you the way you want. If that's already make me a troll. That says more about you.
I missed myself 2 EU fanfest. I could be like you and complain useless on this forum or just deal with it and play this wonderfull game.
Thought it's about time to re-post this again.Hey ppl. Let's not make this mess turn into "Ticket holders VS non-ticket whiner" PvP battle! We are all in the same page here. It's just matter of where you stand in this mess.
This is exactly what SE and Showclix want us to do. Make this into PvP battle and make the public think non-ticket whiner is the enemy.
We can't let that happen. Ticket holders showing up here in this thread is our best friend! Most of ticket holder don't even care(or donno) such thread exists.
We need to reach out to everybody for help, regardless. Have other ticket holder share their experience in this. Let's bring everyone in the same boat and discuss what went wrong here.
Than maybe SE will listen. Let me ask you this, Ticket holders, do you want to go through this mess again in next fanfest? Non-ticket holders, don't you want to have clear/honest answers to what went wrong this time?
Let's all unite. Something most countries can't do, but in Eoerzea, we can!

Codes existed to facilitate the purchase process and to provide a "bonus" to players. I'm simply saying that they may not have legal recourse as no laws were broken (civil recourse, perhaps, but that's a lot of money and time over something I doubt matters much to them.)
I'm not saying it's okay that it happened how it did. I'm saying that now that it has, there might not be anything they can do in regards to wrongly-bought tickets.
However, there are plenty of good will measures they can and should take - additional space, side events, etc. - but as to whether they'll take them, I'm not sure how much faith I have.
Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up..I think I jumped the gun when I initially read your post lol >>;Codes existed to facilitate the purchase process and to provide a "bonus" to players. So I know alot of people who didn't get tickets, had already gotten rooms, and taken time off of work in the hope they'd get a ticket, and adding more dates for a second festival in the US doesn't solve those problems, but why not do it, clearly there's a demand, if you do it in vegas if the RIO still has the room available you might even be able to just extend the event a few days for a second festival and not have more setup charges, yes it would involve more rental fees likely for the equipment, but you can hold mostly the same panels, and give relatively the same info and the attendees would probably be thrilled just for a chance to be there sharing in the camaraderie and having a chance to see their friends. If the Rio doesn't have the space, maybe look elsewhere and see if you can't find someplace to hold another event.
You could also see if there's anyplace else available and hold a Fanfest Overflow Event where you still set up games and things, and just let all the panels and announcements be streamed into it with a projector. Would mean you'd need to make more prizes and things for the overflow event, but that shouldn't be too bad, in 2014 you ran out of prizes, sadly I didn't make it to 2016 so I don't know if there were similar problems there.
Also will the change back to the Rio mean that volunteers will be needed again, because that's how I got a ticket back in 2014, and I had a blast just helping out at Odin and the Frontline Games, still got to see the panels and interact with people.

You knowingly posted in a thread that's already over 30 pages deep with people expressing their opinions, concerns, and frustrations over recent events that are as of yet unprecedented for the FFXIV community as a whole. Then it seemed like you felt incredulous to the idea of people still being upset and wanting to seek answers. I replied. Simple as that.

Never said it did.

Where was I complaining? Not once did I imply that a formal statement would help me (or anyone else) get a ticket. But I do believe that as a paying subscriber and a fan, the community should at the very least get answers so we know what to do moving forward. If anything, that would "help" people who both do and don't have tickets in the future. I'm pretty sure you can sympathize with that.
I'm pretty sure it's not just me. See posts from page 35 onward from users like Svaltus, or o0cacoto0o, or even Melchar who said:
Like you, I could do without a ticket at this point. That's fine.I just want to state i don’t think (holding out hope for more tickets) is wrong either. What would be great is some concrete communication instead of the stonewalling we’re seemingly getting right now. I get it can take time to rally an appropriate response depending on higher ups and such. But as with many things, timing is important and the longer we go without some acknowledgment or transparency the worse it will get from a optics basis.
I think people just want a sense of closure at this point, that's all. To know what went wrong. And to know what can be done to stop it from happening again next time.
I honestly don't see any harm in that.
Anyway, we may disagree. But I don't have anything against you. Like you, we're both fans of FFXIV. If I did make you upset, I sincerely apologize.

I have a slightly different take:
That Showclix is bullshitting the NA FanFest team to cover their [company's] asses, leaving NA FanFest team to take the full brunt of [player] dissent.

They introduced a new community manager for the NA region on Duty Commenced yesterday. What does this mean for Bayohne?
