Monsters That Creep You Out in FFXIV

Well, as far as regular 'ol mobs go, mobs that make me go "eww!" have always been Malboros. Pet Cemetery versions of Tonberrys are extremely creepy. I also have genuine Apiphobia (fear of bees and wasps), so something as simple as the bees in Qarn make me very uneasy, especially considering they can one-shot a tank. I've run Qarn more times than I can count, and know every single spot of this instance where the bees show up, even then, if you record me in this instance, my camera is constantly cycling looking for bees even in the places I know they don't show up.

Doesn't end there though. I am actually terrified of Edda. I've had nightmares about her, and in them she ends the WoL. Yup, crazy batschite Edda is the one to end my story in those dreams. She cannot die so long as her will for her lost love lives, and she torments me because my sacrifice will finally bring her heart's desire to fruition. Such a creepy bitch. I am going to write a novel based on her

I'd put it down to "unfortunate lab accident with a Lalafellin scientist", or yet another unethical experiment, ahead of being intended to mean that the Allagans created the entire race. (Though I wonder if the subtleties of that text got lost in the translation.)

Compare the Ixals, who *are* canonically a result of Allagan bioengineering, and the game is a lot more upfront about it in the Fractal Continuum quests.
