I keep running into Astro running Shields in Farm PTs as a SCH. (Why?)

They said Galvanize in HW. I have no idea why they changed it to Adlo when that isn't even correct. Oh well.

Probably because there's no actual spell called Galvanize and it was confusing everyone who didn't realize that's what the effect itself was called.

Like if it said "Effect cannot be stacked with other roles absorption effects" that would be a lot clearer to me.

That's not true though. AST and SCH shields can be stacked with other shield effects. Just not with themselves or each other. Divine Benison, Divine Veil, Shake It Off, etc all stack with AST/SCH shields.

Right, so clear as mud then. Which was kinda my point, knowing what silly name SE gave to the shield spell for another class to understand your classes tooltip is not that intuitive.

Embolden for example, it buff's YOUR magic damage and PHYSICAL damage of others. But its a ranged class AoE buff, that should be used while in melee so that the nearby melee members of your group get it...? Kinda confusing.

All I'm saying is that maybe, claiming everyone who does this is an idiot, is maybe a little premature because information like this; while simple if a person were to explain it to you, isn't presented to the player as being really meaningful, but can obviously effect the success of your raid / party whatever.

To be fair, by the time you're at the point of regularly doing 8-man content it's not unreasonable to know a bit about how other jobs work.

But you know there is no spell called Nocturnal Field either, when you use your sect, the field comes from the spells Aspec Benefic or Aspec Helios, just like how Galvanize comes from Adlo/Succor. Ok granted it's a bit more obvious for AST seeing as Nocturnal is in both the Sect and Field names but then it doesn't say Diurnal Field when using Aspec Ben/Helios either so perhaps the wording is not perfect in every case, but Galvanize should be what appears on the tooltips.
