I wouldn't say I have to deal with it a lot, but it's been enough that I keep to myself more than I already used to. I've had more than a couple of guys ask me for my instagram or snapchat. Even if I did use social media, I wouldn't give my information to them because the way they ask is usually creepy and I just don't like getting too personal with people I meet in any online game anyway.

The worst are the guys who halfway thru one or two conversations wanna hit you with a slap butt emote or call you a "naughty girl who needs a spanking" or some other weird shit. Like...chill out. Wtf is wrong with you? I'm not flirting with you. I know, it's just a game, but jesus effing christ. Just cause my roe doesn't wear pants doesn't mean I'm some wannabe erp hoe.

sigh, anywho, I just blacklist them or brush them off or whatever. I ain't got time for that shit anymore. I used to give people second chances because I don't know why lol, but now the moment you make any sexual advance towards me, I'm done with you.

If someone's saying or doing creepy stuff to you in game, blacklist and report. Simple as that.

It's rarely as simple as that. Oftentimes there are complications, like being in the same group of friends and not wanting to start "drama", thinking you're overblowing it and making too big a deal out of it... basically expecting the very responses we've already seen in this very thread. And if the person has some renown it's all the worse because that's power they can aim against you if you do even that much. And for a lot of people, specifically women, it's impossible to say "this is just some stupid thing said to me in a game" because this is what they have to put up with day in, day out, in real life. Having that sort of thing hit on you in your escapist power fantasy can actually make things worse, especially if the person who does it was someone you thought was safe for you.

My usual response to this kind of thing is to give the person responsible something completely different from what they wanted.

I agree, those feels when FC drama in a game on the high end has 800k active players across each region makes it to PC gamer. FFXIV is in the big time boys, step up from kotaku. I did get a good laugh reading that.
