They were getting 20-25 FPS in Thanalan with almost nobody around and dropping down into the high teens near a FATE. The only time they got nearly 30FPS was in Ul'dah, nobody around, staring at a wall, lol.

I got an FC mate who plays on a craptop, like 15 fps... he still tanks amazingly well to the point i only asked him about his fps when we did titan exreme and he got hit by aoe, we got all the way through SB without problems before so i was like "WTF how???"

I've run PS4 and PS4 Pro for quite some time and have had no problems whatsoever. Fates, hunts, Eureka and so on. I'm now on PC cause I wanted to run higher quality graphics to my 4K TV and love it. I have some friends on PC who have older machines who have enough trouble running content especially Eureka. This attempt to put down consoles is never ending.

I don't know enough about the Switch to make an educated comment but I suspect the XBox One would have no problems running the game and the larger the player base the better in my opinion. Whether or not Microsoft will ever get over itself and allow xbox player to play with everyone else is another question.

But the PS4 doesn't have any real issues running the game, so I'm not really sure where you are Maeka are trying to go with this.

If the PS4 version runs at 25 FPS in Thanalan then the PS3 version must have ran at like 10 because there's a considerable difference between the two, and the PS3 version certainly wasn't unplayable.

The PS3 version ran at lower detail settings.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the PS3 client was better optimised too TBH (and I'd argue a switch port will have a headstart here as well thanks to game works)

Even on a lower graphics setting the PS3 version's performance was waaaay worse, on PS4 the game only really chugs when there's a lot of people around (patch day quest markers, hunts, etc) while on PS3 the game was pretty much always like that even when you were alone.

That's my point, the PS3 version was borderline unplayable but it was still fine there was no way it was running at sub-20 FPS, the PS4 version is noticeable better than the PS3 so no, it's not running at 20-25 FPS.

I dunno.. I think the net has far more hurts on the PS4 then the system itself.. like I'm direct connected and I don't run into any issues at all. And I'm on base PS4. I don't think PS4 is so -unplayable- as people make it out to be.. if that were the case then we'd see ALOT more people complain.

I mean, I played on PS4 and have dozens of friends that do as well, and not of them nor I have experienced what you claim. So I actually DO know something about it. But regardless of your ranting, the game is playable and very enjoyable for thousands of people on PS4.

EDIT: And I have locked my PC to 15 FPS and my PS4 has never looked that bad, or even close to it. Not even in Hunts/24mans. If you're having this much trouble, you might check your internet.
