They don't really need to punish them, but rather suggest they open the house up and allow OP to demolish their room so they can freely leave the FC. Granted the GM's would have to keep an eye on {Player} for X amount of days until they log in (unless they can move logged out characters into the Gaol).

SE owns all the data, they don't need permission to alter anything and thus shouldn't need to wait for the fc leader to log in and open it up. They can open it up and let him check to see if the room shows or not. If it doesn't, he'll have to wait for someone to either relink his character with the room, or clear out the connection so he can move on. Over a week is beyond pushing it, especially with no communication on SE's end of any progress.

Starting to wonder if it was intentional to leave John in the FC or if the bug prevented the leader from kicking him with everyone else and the lockdown is this person's way of avoiding confrontation from booting everyone out to make the house their own personal fc?
