Nice to see the community empathy hasn't diedReally tough situation and I am sorry for it, I truly am. But.....at the end of the day, this all comes back to you ultimately, for not logging in. These rules pertaining to logging in and losing FC leadership were known and in place before this event happened, so as unfortunate as it is, and as much of a jerk this guy has been and has handled it poorly, I don't see any rules broken.![]()

It sounds like you are still blaming OP for his predicament. So would someone (PlayerA) who was NOT a FC leader but was in a FC did bought private chambers and decorated, if their current FC leader or a new FC leader decided to go and be a jerk and revoke all permissions including entering a FC house, and PlayerA wanted to leave the FC because it is no longer a good FC but can't, because they can't demolish their private chambers, would you blame them for their predicament? I mean, in just the same way OP didn't know FC leadership would pass (which isn't the issue anyway) and didn't know the person it passed to would be a jerk, PlayerA didn't know having private chambers and a jerk FC leader could prevent him from leaving.

I'm kind of baffled that such a ridiculous design flaw has managed to persist this long, but then again, it's hardly the only one.

Why is this a thing. Something such as this should be completely automated.
You leave the FC, your items get stored with the housing merchant and your FC room gets demolished. That's how it should be, but sadly it's not.
This part makes it sound like inability to enter the house may not be the only thing blocking you from doing it yourself. I wonder if you did enter the house, whether you'd find your room there and be able to enter it / clear it out / demolish it.
Sounds like your just being blocked or they are preventing you based on new FC. I would just cut my loses, learn, and move on.

So if OP had an important issue that forced them to stay away from the game, it's their fault for being placed in a hostage situation within their former FC? That's what I'm understanding from your post.Really tough situation and I am sorry for it, I truly am. But.....at the end of the day, this all comes back to you ultimately, for not logging in. If I die, forgive me. I used to be a Dragoon.

He's trying to, the game will not let him leave the fc. To leave the fc you cannot have a private room in the fc house. To remove the private room in the fc house, that private room must be empty. To empty that private room, you must go into the fc house to access the door to the room. Due to settings by the current fc leader, he can't enter the house to access that door. There may be a bug on top of that issue that somehow ate the private room, but left some info in the database that the room still exists as well. I still think the GMs should open up the guest access to the house and allow him to see if he can get into the private room via the pr/workshop door.
"Cut your loses" in this case would either mean:
1) Stay in that dead FC, that he doesnt want to stay in, forever (...or until leadership passes to a person that wont block him out of the house - if that ever happens)
or
2) Give up the trapped character and start a new one
Bot options arent acceptable.

He literally cannot. His options are to stay in the dead FC (as he's being prevented from leaving) or going nuclear and starting an entirely new character. Both are unacceptable options.
