Would you rather I see new content then? Artificially extending the life of content may work for you, but many players want more recent things. They aren't interested in grinding every piece of gear possibly obtainable from Eureka. In fact, despite that being a goal of mine, I wouldn't necessarily equate it with being content because it's simply me trying to draw out a patch.

Nobody is artificially extending the life on ANYTHING. Once content is done, it is done. If it hasn't been completed, it's not done and, regardless of age, it still exists. Simple fact. You don't get to pick and choose what stuff is defined as content and what is not to fit your narrative, at least not in an objective discussion.

If there is something in the game that you have not completed, then there is content you have not done; hence it is NEW content for YOU, regardless of when it was created. Period. Your interest in said content is irrelevant to that objective fact.

Where your interest IS relevant is in the subjective statement of "there is no content in the game I am currently interested in." Which is fine, to each his own. But don't try to turn your subjective opinions on what you feel is and is not content into a launching board against how others play the game and how there is no content to do at all.

It took you three weeks to do the MSQ, Ridorana and etc? Great. I finished them all within a day.

No offense, but good for you? Why should others be left struggling to keep up with patch cycles because they didn't wish to glutton themselves on content in one day? Other's shouldn't be forced to put in an obscene amount of gaming hours each day in order to enjoy everything the game has to offer just because you prefer it that way. This is why understanding ALL of the content options in the game is important, it gives you options. Including the option to TAKE A BREAK. Frankly, I'm of the belief these staggered releases are a good thing. Too many people are WAY too attached to their pixels.

Beyond that, stop dictating what I get to play and when.

SE is the developer for FFXIV, by DEFINITION it is not only their right to do this; it is their job.
