Just here to do my mentor duty and letting you know that it's common player etiquette to make a Party Finder group when doing extreme and harder content, because you get to describe your intentions (practice / clear / farm) and set filters, and that helps you find like-minded people.

If you want to know how mechanics work before pulling the boss, it's more efficient to read or watch a guide instead of asking someone to type everything in chat just for you. In hard content you should aim to bring your best knowledge and ability out of courtesy towards other players, or "carry your weight" as the saying goes.

By using the Duty Finder you gain the convenience of automated matchmaking but give up the ability to filter people and have to just deal with who you are paired with. Anyone who is first to leave a DF duty already gets punished with a 30 minute lockout, mentor or not. If you feel like this is not enough, what kind of penalty would you be willing to accept for leaving a duty when you or your party isn't capable of clearing? I think everyone should be held to the same standard because we are peers. By placing higher expectations on mentors you are putting the title on a pedestal and giving it more value than it really has, which causes issues like people wearing the icon for status reasons.
