Patch 4.3 Dungeon unhappiness

For all the people who've been saying "You beat Shinryu and Tsukoyomi. Suck it up". I will say Shinryu Story is the main reason I am never wanted to ever touch the non-MSQ SB trials and primals until 6.3 because Shinryu stressed me out so much I literally had to tranquilize myself so I didn't hurt myself because how stressed I was. Tsukoyomi wasn't as bad, but I still had to medicate myself and lock myself in safe area to cope afterwards.

Again, I do not react this negatively to 4-man content. It is only 8 and 24-man content that pushes my stress levels.

I could maybe get 24-man content since you can get bosses like Hashmal or Construct 7 that are kind of a pain to mess around with. But what is it about 8-man stuff that unsettles you? If it's just Raids, then that's fine. I'm just curious, given that every boss fight in the game after the fight three are eight man fights.

I'm not going to say whether you should or shouldn't be playing, and I'm sorry to hear it makes you feel ill, but I think you must be in a rather unusual situation as far as coping with the game goes, and so it's unlikely that the devs are going to be planning their content with your situation in mind. They're not going to hold off on including eight-man content of similar difficulty to their four-man content just in case people feel stressed-to-the-point-of-sickness by one and not the other. It's likely they'd never even contemplate such a thing.

I concur with OP. Simply put I hate doing trials because of the toxic players I always meet there. Not done a single dungeon in two weeks now because of this, and wonder if it's time to quit.

To those agreeing with the OP, I'm sorry, it must be difficult dealing with such things do to whatever disabilities you may have. Unfortunately the content is designed to be on the easier side of the spectrum and for the majority of players is incredibly doable so I do not believe it should be changed or adapted to suit you all, nor do I believe it will be now or in the future. You have to realize while you may find others who agree with you on these topics, you are the vocal minority and unfortunately threads like this are an easy way to open yourself up to harassment. People only truly know their own abilities, which makes it difficult to understand and relate to other people with more limited capacities, the frustration brought on by that easily results in lashing out. Personally this content is something I consider very easy and requiring minimal effort so I do not have the ability to understand your complaints, but I try to respect that there are people who struggle with it. Toxic players in normal mode trials? Seriously? Out of the most recent/relevant ones I saw Shinryu first-hand, and I see some pain with Tsukuyomi now too, but by and large salt piles and keyboard rage are reserved for EX versions. Even for the two I mentioned most of the time the problem people left or there was a total disband if it wasn't salvageable; it's not super common to see people flying off the handle in chat without them either leaving or getting shut down. If you encounter "toxic" individuals often then you might want to start looking at the common threads connecting all those incidents... I don't think the content is to blame.

I'm unhappy with new the dungeon. Ran it so far 10 times and not one caster gear item has dropped for me.

I hate to admit it, but yeah: the toxicity in (at least Tsukuyomi normal) has been as bad as my Susano ex and Lakshmi ex (in my experience) at least. Even had someone try to vote abandon on the second wipe of the first day,when, with Shinryu, I had parties that would try it over and over until the time ran out on the first few days. Not sure what's in the air, but it's been pretty bad.

Just like Ifrit, Garuda, Titan, Bismarck, etc., there will always be required trials to progress the story. Admittedly, the overall attitude for the most recent trial has been very toxic (in my experience) so I get that it puts you off, but I don't understand the full sentiment of not wanting to do trials to do... trial roulettes, or whatever. I think if you (and maybe OP) need a break from the game: take a break. There's nothing wrong with stepping away.

I get that it can be intimidating to go into a new trial when you aren't sure how you will do in it. I would suggest things though like finding friends or fc mates to run with you. I generally watch a video of it, though I usually get hit anyhow a few times before I learn to recognize what to watch for. Heck, you can even make a party finder with a statement to please bring patience so that everyone is aware that you'll need a bit of help.

There will always be jerks that call you out, even your first time in a dungeon. The trick is realizing that the people who rage that you suck have bigger problems than not being perfect in a video game.

Hey, at least you only have to defeat Byakko NM once. Toxic teammates or not, you just get carried, everyone leaves DF, and you never will have to see anyone from there again.

I remember you have to beat up Garuda/Ifrit/Titan HM more than once.
