Why won't this thread die? Vieras are sacred creatures that do not need to be disgrace with XIV limitations. Would rather have races unique to XIV instead.

People want Viera from that bad Tactics game that we don't talk about. What strategy game punishes you for using Cure or some other nonsense? SE has been doing a good job pretending that game doesn't exist, cuz it don't.. (Can't believe that game ever got a sequel...)

Was gonna say. It's a very 'nothing' response since he says "new races" and not Viera specifically.

Also I quite enjoyed FFTA and FFTA2 (which nixed the Judge/Law system). Would always try to make a party of Bangaa.

Are you talking about the Judge system from Tactics Advance? Because the penalties it applies are easily worked around most of the time and only get really obnoxious when it's things like "Don't deal damage to monsters" on a map where the only enemies are monsters. Even then, the game gives you the means to change laws by the time that starts showing up.

Also, the game got a sequel because it sold very well. So a lot of people actually bought the game, regardless of how much you personally dislike it.

Yeah, I sadly helped fund it's sequel. That's cool that people liked it but I couldn't stand that game when half the team was in Jail. Looking at it sales, I'm amazed that it was considered being "sold well" when the current SE would say those numbers mean it "failed."

P.S I still hate that game and will continue to deny it's existence...

(Every other game has you hate Judges... even XIV... and you want me to sit there and accept their dumbarse rules...)

The current raids seem to influenced by "FFXII: Zodiac Braves" anyhow, not tactics, given the name drop by the NPCs. Also, how do these tactics games have ANY impact on XIV? I know Viera are from them, but...? Your comment makes no sense to me.

The current raid is a mash up of war of the Lions and FF12 with it merging bit of both.
