And yet when the Doman refugees arrived in Thanalan they had never even seen a chocobo before let alone even knew what they were. It's a huge lore discrepancy to go from people not even knowing about them to suddenly having Dalmasca not only having them, but being right near Doma to begin with. I also very much doubt, given how tales of impressive animals could spread even in our history, that news of a giant bird that could summon meteors wouldn't make it's way across the short border. It's one thing to add stuff later, and something I feel one should be fairly accepting of given the long and storied history of how the lore team often quarrels with the quest team for relevancy, but it's still a discrepancy all the same. They do better than most but they should not be put upon a pedestal.

Likewise a detour that retreads very old ground, I did some searching and we knew he was from Dalmasca long before this as I've found posts from last year that reference it, and that seems purely to remind us these NPC's exist and to pad out the run time does not add in any meaningful way to the world building. Especially when it comes at the expense of pacing.

I have a grip on reality, though I thank you for your touching concern. Now, you seem a little riled up over what is ultimately a very trivial matter. Might I politely suggest taking some time to cool off? Perhaps with a nice cup of tea and a slice of lemon cake? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about the well being of some of the posters in this thread. It's genuinely worrying when a minor fetch quest that takes a handful of minutes stirs up mass hysteria among those perpetually seeking new ways to be outraged.

Incorrect. You can bash others all you like, it doesn't make you words true. If people are not being constructive and they're just whining about some trivial matter being blown out of proportion then there's absolutely no worth to the feedback in question.

That is not up for you to decide. The feedback here is for developers, you're not a developer, you're the one adding nothing to the discussion and just bashing other people. If you disagree then perfect, there's no need to extend this to so many pages just because you personally believe this feedback is trivial, just move on to the next thread. The fact is that threads like this do affect development as I mentioned before, so again after 5 years you're still not understanding the purpose of feedback threads, this is not a "trivial whining", this is a request to take it into consideration when developing the next set of quests.

It's less opposing view point and more ignore every complaint anyone might have, legitimate or otherwise and just presumes anyone who doesn't immediately adore the pointless sidequest should just play other games instead of "enjoying it"

As well as making snide comments about “skip potions” and telling people who do not like the quest to just go play other games. I didn’t really mind the fetch quests. I almost always appreciate a bit of story here and there. My way of thinking is: you’re only ever going to have to do it once (unless you have alts), and even then it doesn’t take up a huge portion of one’s time. I may even be a bit disappointed if they were to go.
