It's probably too early for hints. A new expansion will probably come out next summer, but we likely won't get any info about it until at least E3 in June, Tokyo Game Show in September, or potentially Fan Fest 2018 in November.
If we are going to Thavnair, there's a very very high chance we will at least get Blue Mage, given its near-eastern aesthetic and the fact that Blue Mage and Blue Magic has already been name dropped several times already. I have a feeling that Alphinaud will be the Scion's Blue Mage as Alisae was the Scions' Red Mage. He wears blue a lot, and has a blue hair tie. This is the very first time we ever meet the twins. Notice both of their color schemes. It was already foreshadowed that Alisae would be the Red Mage.

Going back and looking over the interview, I'll admit I was wrong. I wasn't Yoshi P saying hints of a new job, it was the Japanese players base wondering if it was hints at a new job.
I guess I'm just over excited and hoping for classes that are new and not something we've "seen" in other FF games.
Pretty sure the next job is going to be a Gunblade-themed class. It's probably too early for hints. A new expansion will probably come out next summer, but we likely won't get any info about it until at least E3 in June, Tokyo Game Show in September, or potentially Fan Fest 2018 in November.

Someone also threw out the possibility that the it could be a play on a blue mage but based off of the x-2 version otherwise known as the Gun Mage. "ShadowHunter" could also be a play on Fiend Hunter which was a special skill of theirs. If your theory is correct (which would blow my f-ing mind that this was planned out so far back) This would make sense as Alphinau could possibly pick up the job from being around Shadow Hunter.
SE has been known to hint at future classes i.e - Thancred/NIN and Alisae/RDM.
I'm sure Geomancer will show up eventually but that last scene in the MSQ can't be for nothing.

But Dancer and Blu is more popular and more players want those over Geo and Gunblade.
Also we have enough dps until 6.0 (Just my opinion).
If blu does get implemented i think it will be very different then what people would be expecting to fit FFXIV better.
Which is why i always caution people who are hyped about blu. much like with smn, it's probably going to get drastically changed to fit better.
cerise leclaire
(bad omnicrafter & terrible astrologian)
All I can say about this.... is we better get a damn healer in 5.0
I wouldn't say Blue Mage because (of other reasons) there's one job that's even more likely due to what lore we know of the place as well as being among the top three in demand: Chemist, or at least something along those lines. Even if you're just looking at aesthetic components, Dancer would be even more likely due to gamers who think of dancers in a game are typically thinking of belly dancers that would fit into that visual theme (and it's also more demanded than Blue Mage).
Also, any real early foreshadowing content for jobs (including the Alisaie fight) wasn't until the x.4 patch, meaning that we'll probably have to wait another patch to get any real leads on new jobs
They probably didn't plan it out THAT far back. But the fact that they made Alisae a RDM sort of begs the question that if SHE got a job change, shouldn't Alphinaud--and if that, what job would he be if not the "opposite" of his sister? As the Scions have gotten more powerful through the expansions, they have gotten "job changes". Thancred was a Gladiator->Rogue->Ninja. Lyse was a Pugilist and developed more MNK-like skills, Alisae went from ACN->RDM. Y'stola went from CNJ->WHM (had a wand and now has a 2handed staff).
Geomancer is already painfully similar to CNJ/THM/RDM, casting elemental magic. It would be difficult to make them unique I think, especially the AST storyline, which says that GEO is basically just a subtype of AST.
