Looking through Tsukuyomi's Pain PFs and having HW war flashbacks nostalgia. Mandatory AST placement has returned, and a large number of groups are dropping the pretense altogether and are back to excluding WHM entirely for SCH/ AST.

I look forward to the next patch when AST gets 50% Balance, SCH gets a 30 second Aetherflow cooldown and WHM gets its Holy cast time reduced by 0.5 seconds if you use Cure III three times within 10 seconds.

12 PFs currently on Aether for the new EX fight. Not a single WHM locked outta PF outside of those that already have both slots full with healers.

You can't say that for certain. I've been in groups where both tanks or multiple combos leave and the leader doesn't update the listing until someone points it out. It would seem that most party leaders don't know this happens. =P I've been in a lot of PF groups and I've yet to be with an AST. It's always been a WHM as my co-healer. I've never seen any state that WHMs aren't welcome in chaos. It's generally the 'no same class' BS for the healer LB. Of the 12 groups up on PF atm, none exclude WHM. One does, however, exclude SCH in favor of WHM/AST. I had a DPS leave the new dungeon at the start yesterday because SCHs aren't real healers and can't possibly be able to heal it. So does my anecdotal evidence prove SCH under powered or that some people are idiots?

Did you see one single PF locking WHM out and are going full blown paranoia?

Considering other Chaos Data Center players have posted saying they have not seen any of the new EX primal PFs locking WHM out means something is wrong about what your "eyes" saw.

Someone is lying or full on over exaggerating and I really think it is you since multiple posters (and I even asked some friends I know on Chaos) can't seem to find this problem that you posted in your OP.

Also like I said unless you sent a /tell to the leader asking why it is locked you do not have the context and it may have been people dropping party while the PF was active therefore locking the slots and PF leader didn't fix it or doesn't know to fix it.

Also some ASTs may not like Nocturnal Sect or maybe aren't as skilled on Nocturnal Sect so they might prefer healing with a SCH and it kinda is their choice if it is their own PF or a friend putting it up. Also WHMs, at least on Primal, are so rampant that I find it hard to get into the new EX primal on WHM since most of the PFs already have one. People don't like double stacking same job.

Half the time it's simply that the group had an AST who dropped causing the PF to lock the slot to that job. Consider sending a /tell before you panic.

must be on na server? iam on jp server and no one being exclusive here, i got 4 run and i always paired with either sch or whm (never get another ast with me for some reason)

in fact i lost count how many times i got saved by whm thanks to their raw healing power especially when you got derp/1st timer party.
