Which outright contradicts what we already know of the moogles in Eorzea (i.e. they originated at Moghome in the Churning Mists and migrated to Hydaelyn via Mourn (a diaspora which the Good King Moggle Mog primal is a twisted cultural meme of) where they spread out, with the two 'tribes' eventually losing contact with each other). I don't see any reason to think otherwise (and thus take that reference as nothing more than a fanservice handwave for FFXII/FFTA fans - and remember also the Moogle summon in the original FFT had a traditional FF moogle appearance rather than the 'rabbit with bat wings and pompom' look they later had in Ivalice.).
