Its the weekend. You won't get a response at the earliest before Monday, and probably Tuesday or Wednesday, as this has to get moved over to the devs. Responses are never instant, and expecting one, especially on the weekend is silly.I think I better chime in with my post..
Devs... if you change the current "Glitching/Stacking" etc methods we use to create some nice houses... This is going to be a HUGE upset. Even in Japan where we have seen many websites dedicated to the designs of housing..
So we would love to know what "fix" you are all implying if a community rep could respond back to us here. Thanks.
Apparently according to the German translation of the notes they refer to aquariums stacking/clipping together alone, and not other furniture?
Yes, but both the French and English versions refer to furniture in general, not specifically aquariums. So there's no way to know for certain what's actually correct. SE really needs to clarify exactly what they mean...

Ah finally, some video game fearmongering that might be slightly legit..

Ok, so I found this floating around off site, I'll paste it here and if anyone who knows better can confirm or deny it, the better:
Here is a translation of the German patch notes into English: The German notes mention “other problems” but don’t specify. Here’s what it says:
“If aquariums are placed on other furnishings [i.e. tables] and those furnishings are moved together with the aquariums then the aquariums may overlap. *The overlap of aquariums could potentially not only cause other problems [what other problems???], there is also the risk that overlapping aquariums will be irreversibly removed from the game when the problem is being fixed. Therefore, we bid you urgently to take care that you avoid overlaps in setting the aquariums.”
So! Perhaps it is simply the aquariums at risk; And ambiguous translation has put us into an unnecessary panic (again???)

French and English translations both say "furniture", no specifics, which is why there's a thread asking for elaboration. I don't think anyone's willing to risk their furniture based on a game of "which patch notes are translated right?"

I just relocated (shoreside medium in Shiro, woot) and I'm not going to decorate anything in the interior until after the patch. Taking no chances.

english + french = clipping furnitureFrench and English translations both say "furniture", no specifics, which is why there's a thread asking for elaboration. I don't think anyone's willing to risk their furniture based on a game of "which patch notes are translated right?"
japanese + german = furniture clipping with aquarium

Just gonna leave my 2 cents here...after reading the japanese one, it just states aquarium clipping, not actual furniture. I'd say japanese one is more accurate as this is a japanese game. English and french translations, they're just made poorly.

Until that is clarified by an official SE employee who has been informed of the specifics, though, it matters not. Half of the translations say one thing, the others say different - many people are still worried and can't trust two of the translations when the other two are contradictory. Myself included.
Having some actual confirmation or denial on what will and won't get borked up would be the best thing to set everyone's mind at ease.
