The translation is poor according to a source on reddit. I mean, even just looking at it, you can tell the translation is poor, and not saying what is intended. SE wouldn't deliberately destroy people's furniture for exposing the housing bugs. This is not a threat, it is a warning that anything that is clipping with an aquarium could potentially be lost after the patch is uploaded into your game.

I believe it is a similar issue to placing too many interactable furnishings inside your home. After so many, some of said interactables, including partitions will just start disappearing. They are still there; you don't lose them and they and will reappear once you get close to the item. I am curious if this is the issue they are attempting to fix, which has lead to this potential problem.

Just make sure nothing is overlapping with your aquariums before downloading 4.3 and you should be good.

Wait... ALL overlapping furnishings could be deleted when its ''fixed''?

XIV Devs... seriously if you want to avoid angering every housing owner in your game you will make the rational decision to never ''fix'' one of the only true joys of your limiting housing system.

How is this even be considered!? There is a japanese website dedicated to the gorgeous (overlapping) designs of player housing, they should know how important these little tricks are to us!

I hope this is a translation error and only means the aquariums (even though most people already clip things into them)... but even my faith is being soured at this possibility.

    We need clarification.

    Edit:

Good thinking, but the 'fix' is the time where we should make sure they are not clipping, right?

You are absolutely right, my appologizes. My reading comprehension late at night must suffer.

French translation doesn't specifically say "aquariums" either, and says all furniture (this also from Reddit):

I had a look at the FR version of the notes (I'm French) to see if it's clearer in other languages.

"Nous vous prions de ne pas reproduire ce problème, car les meubles occupant un même espace sont susceptibles de disparaître de façon permanente."

It says: please do not reproduce this problem, as furniture ("meubles" means furniture in general, they don't narrow it to aquariums at this stage) which occupy the same space are likely to disappear in a permanent way.

They straight forward talk about furniture occupying the same space ("meubles occupant le même espace"). I'm worried now because that could be anything.
So we've got at least two languages outright saying furniture, not just aquariums.

There's a thread here in the housing forum asking for clarification on exactly what's intended by the notes. At this point I'd really like to know exactly what's at risk.

I mean, instead of just straight up deleting stuff, can't they remove it from the house and either mail it back to you or put it on the housing caretaker? Seems like we're all rolling the dice on potentially having some valuable stuff deleted because we don't know what exactly SE is talking about.

We really need an official detailed clarification from SE NA on this. Specifically does this only apply to aquariums, and how do they define clipping/ overlapping.

I feel like there's a much easier solution that would provide less heartache for the playerbase as a whole: removing aquariums from the game.

Seriously, if that's what it takes to keep most of our furniture to be deleted, then that's a hit I'm willing to take.

Or just leave it as is. If the option is "potentially delete 95% of people's houses" or "stick with one aquarium" I will gladly keep the one aquarium I've been very happy with till now!

I think I better chime in with my post..

Devs... if you change the current "Glitching/Stacking" etc methods we use to create some nice houses... This is going to be a HUGE upset. Even in Japan where we have seen many websites dedicated to the designs of housing..

So we would love to know what "fix" you are all implying if a community rep could respond back to us here. Thanks.
