    Not "you" in specific but Square Enix as a whole. And one wonders why I basically have no faith in some companies in a support perspective.

    Do we have to wait another year for proper support? 5.0? Several Years? Yet another data center move? It can be infuriating to wait most of a year and the only proper solution is to shell out even more money for a VPN.

    We've long since noticed it's your ISP's fault and yet it's always "We're collecting data." This would make more sense if the issue was new. It is not.

    This is... ignorant to say the least. We have different ISPs, no connection problems to other games (hosted on different ISPs no less), and for the last 8+ months (or whenever stormblood launched) a portion of the player base has had this lag issue at a certain time interval each day. The common link in all of this? NTT, squares ISP for North America's Data Center.

    But no since we're not "ISP technicians" we're magically unqualified to say absolutely anything on this topic despite all of the data "we" have collected over all of this time. Even using a VPN routes around the NTT problem but that tends to cost more money on top of what we already pay. It's not like we haven't been collecting data of our own or anything.

    Maybe, just maybe, we have an actual point unlike you other than to sound condescending.

    Meanwhile I'm a legacy player and have had my quality of life improved by the move. It varies from person to person. Just because you are legacy doesn't mean anything lol.

    My join date is even further back, does that mean I have priority? Yay!

    At least the entire game isn't unplayable for everyone from 5-9PM EDT anymore like when the servers were in Montreal.

    Don't derail this thread. It's not about Legacy. And good for you, I'm glad you are problem free. But be mindful of the people who do have issues and show them a little respect.

    The problem is people have been saying the move was terrible for all but a small few, and been really loud about it. The game generally runs fine, and the fact that the issues happen mostly only during certain times leads to congestion being the main problem. Which means either the isps need to run your route through a more robust node, or the owner of the node needs to upgrade their stuff. Both are not likely to happen, as money and effort are involved, which companies don't like to use.

    Losing customers will cost the company money in the end. NTT is Square Enix's ISP. They are held responsible for the end results provided to their customers. The service they are providing to Square Enix is poor, and thus reflects directly on Square Enix as such. If they continue to ignore this problem, they will lose customers, money, and receive poor reviews which will effect overall sales.

    This is a problem. And it needs to be addressed and not swept under the rug to be ignored and hope it goes away.

    They are not ignoring the problem, but as they said it is out of their control but will still do what they can to find a solution. I get you are frustrated but let us be civil here.

    Comcast is a notorious ISP and company.

    I have them and despise their service. From the bottom to the top they will always try to take advantage of you. Even with a business line. Every day I check for Google Fiber to become available to me. I just want to drop Comcast already.

    You realize how many different people made reports about NTT that are within that locked thread and how having each person make a new topic would be for the Tech forum?

    At the very least give us somewhere to post our tracerts and concerns instead of having the community spam that forum with repeated issues.
