Red Mages need some love

A: We have no plans to make any adjustments to red mage at this time. We believe increasing red mage’s DPS while retaining its current abilities would cause a disruption to balance.

Considering that Embolden is easily proven to be one of the worst support abilities in the game, it's very clear that it's in reference to Verraise's existence.

And yes, the question specifically mentions buffing jobs or giving them support abilities, so this would preclude a chance to buff Embolden or their damage. The devs use parsers just like we do, so they should know that Red Mage is below every class in the game in terms of damage and raid contribution.

...honestly this has been common knowledge for some time, I don't know why you suddenly decide to raise contention.
