LD just needs a little buff imo, like a big red aura around the player when you use it.

"Là où il n'y a pas d'imagination, il n'y a pas d'horreur." Sherlock Holmes, Une étude en rouge, Conan Doyle
You should have also used it for Head-On.
Holmgang is awful on trash but only because it binds you and 90% of the time something will AOE you at the worst possible moment.
And dungeons don't matter so they obviously aren't the discussion here.
You really shouldn't, for 2 big reasons.
1, Living Dead doesn't define DRK's "strength". Even if Living Dead was suddenly Hallowed Ground, DRK would still be the odd-out. It'd be a buff, yes, but not enough and wouldn't fix drk's lack of identity. Obviously DRK would be used and I'm sure it would at least be popular for 8S, but you arent addressing PLD/WAR synergy in most other content. If this was the change, then it would be especially strong in content with lots of strong tankbusters, but not much else, and we already see DRK/WAR being used for that content.
2, going by trends (legacy, paladin, warrior), it takes SqE about 4 years to fix stuff. This would be a year early.

I'm glad you see it that way! My entire point is that people complaining about LD failing them in lower end content is stupid because none of that content matters in the first place. If LD is fine in higher end content, then ultimately it's fine, period.
I agree with your ladder point but when you use the word "failing" and then say it's fine, well no that isn't fine at all. Even if skills are going to be pretty bad in lower end content, they shouldn't "fail" because at that point the skill should be changed to something else so it works for both raids and other content. Similar to shake it off.

then we might as well buff holmgang to better suit dungeons, eh?I agree with your ladder point but when you use the word "failing" and then say it's fine, well no that isn't fine at all. Change and buffs are not the same thing.
Also, Holmgang doesn't fail. I'm not sure why you mentioned that. If you meant in reference to Living dead failing in non-raid content and then brought up Holmgang, understand that my statement was a general one, in that no skill in this game should be nigh unusable outside of raid content. Not a skill like that exists in the game and not a skill like that should ever exist.

WELL, technically LD doesn't fail. It goes off, just like holmgang goes off. What ends up failing is if the healer not understanding what to do in reaction to your walking dead status. While holmgang doesn't "fail," you'll never rely on it in a dungeon for any huge pull, because holmgang's 6 seconds is realistically 4 or 3 in such a setting. In the same sense, what ends up failing is the healer not reacting to holmgang accordingly with a bene.
My message is that while holmgang is lauded, it's crap for lower end content. Does this mean we cry about holmgang? Should we ask for buffs? No, it simply means we focus how it works in content that really does matter. LD is the same way, so complaining about it for lower end content is silly.
Don't get too hung up on semantics.
I already agreed that living dead is fine because it works very well in high end content. Granted I think I still prefer holmgang over Living myself since at least I'm not obligated to heal the tank to full with holmgang, but that's personal preference and even then I'll deal with Living Dead on matter what. I just really, really don't agree with skills failing outside of raid and it being ok because they aren't raids. That, to me, is what your initial post implied.
