I can take you to the Inn.
I can take you to the Inn.
The Inn won't show me CS I have yet to see. And I will not be skipping them in the actual run on my first time in. If anyone starts early and locks me out, oh well, I won't be skipping the CS and nothing people can say will make me change my mind otherwise. At the very least I can watch for mechanics for next time in safety if it does happen.
With Rabanastre, you kind of need to wait as the cutscene introducing the final boss is roughly a minute long. If someone decides to pull instantly and (unlikely) half/most of the raid is watching the cutscene, most of them are not going to be able to enter if they decide to keep watching. Also cool downs. I'd like to have Riddle of Fire and Brotherhood up before fighting the Duma of Doma.
Hey, that's cool and all but i wasn't really talking to you now was I? I just think that what OP proposes is stupid as hell.I'm not asking for unskippable CS, but being locked out of a fight due to wanting to watch it is not really fair for them. This has nothing to do with "doing it when it drops". And in every new content, I personally watch the CS, and if I get locked out, oh well. But if you bash me for watching it because I enjoy the story? That's quite rude of you if you do.
If a bunch of people are new and watching the cutscene, they probably also don't know the fight and you can use that minute to cover the basics (swords/adds to the middle, what the two masks mean). Then you don't just have someone running in blind and dying constantly without knowing why. With Rabanastre, you kind of need to wait as the cutscene introducing the final boss is roughly a minute long. It's fine if you get locked out lol I mean it's not like having someone who might not know the mechanics stop us from finishing the alliance raid. The cutscenes should remain skippable tho. If I did it, everyone else can.The Inn won't show me CS I have yet to see. And I will not be skipping them in the actual run on my first time in. The problem with this though unless you say something, no one is going to know you are watching the cutscene outside of the party, so a MT will still run off regardless.I'm not asking for unskippable CS, but being locked out of a fight due to wanting to watch it is not really fair for them. But I'm also one that just skips the cutscene to watch later. It's far easier that way and you get a better feel of some of the scenes without the rush.

I've said it before, complaining about wasting time, on something designed to waste free time is dumb. Waiting 15-30s is not gonna kill you. If they made it so you could not go into the arena or even give it the msq treatment, I would not care. The game isn't going anywhere and people need to stop acting like it's the last day on earth.
I agree, moreso when their excuse is that adding 1 extra minute makes running the duty impossible in an mmo where everything is about using time to keep you there.I've said it before, complaining about wasting time, on something designed to waste free time is dumb.
