Go to the PF, there are run sellers all the time there. . . Don't act like they don't exist.
They've been in the game since Titan HM was a gate for the original Relic.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

He is specifically saying those rare/ex and glamour items already in my retainer inventory tho.
Did you pay attention to that?
You may want to read whole thing first.
oh my bad, i should be more specific, i use world glamour items because they are bound already.

Hmmmm 5 dollar and add 2 dollars for an extra slot....-.- what is there to argue, unfair to those who boycott this app? The world is already unfair...it's a business, people get over it. Optional label, micro transactions, does it really matter? In t he end we are the consumer, we have the power, we have choices...don't use it, through a tantrum and rage quit, in the end it means the same...our choice. Life is not fair so make it fair in your own way.

You go into a F2P model game knowing that it's going to be littered with micro transactions. All over the thing.
You go into a subscription based model MMO expecting your sub to pay for most everything the game offers. Like someone said before, you don't expect a subscription within the subscription. That has never happened before and that's why this is so jarring.

Yes with the business comes the expectation that the whole reason this game was even manufacture was to make money. That is the number one reason for a business. It's common sense that business can use different tools at their disposal to make money. So like in many other threads... at the end of the day it's up to us to decide on OPTIONAL services. If it seems unfair..just ask your self these simple questions. You're right. It is a business, but with that come expectations. You go into a F2P model game knowing that it's going to be littered with micro transactions. All over the thing.

Are they or will they be making money?
Are they doing anything illegal?
Am I trowing a tantrum or being over dramatic being I will probably be a hypocrite and use it anyways? (harsh but true )
IF after these people still can't place two and two together, lets ask something else.
Will the game be effected in a way that I can't participate in it or be excluded from content outside of the main story line or expansion sets? if so how? ( would love to hear this one ) Will not having extra retainers or access outside of my PC / gaming console ruin my chances of enjoying this game or am I just being childish and feel it's unfair because other people can afford it?
We all pay subscriptions, some less than others do to legacy, so we all have the same options in one way or another.
As for subscription over a subscription their are several games that have had this in the past, people just refused to acknowledge it.

People defending micro transactions are why the gaming industry is in the sad state it is today. "Its optional!!!!" until it isn't and we all suffer for it.You're right. It is a business, but with that come expectations.

At this moment, it is still optional. But, IF we ever get to the point that it isn't optional, you only suffer if you CHOOSE to. Honestly, if the game means so much to an individuals personal worth that they would classify not being able to play the game or something in it as "suffering".................ummm, ok.
They defended them a lot too when the western MMOs started rolling over to those models en masse in about 2007, and tbh it really didn't help them that much either. Probably all the changes to those games on the whole were a net negative; the larger ones would have survived anyways (liek Tor, LOTRO, etc) while the smaller ones died regardless if they converted (Fallen Earth.) It's just now you ended up paying more if you actually liked the game, probably double the monthly sub on average.
And these were western ones, Korean and Chinese MMOs seem to have gone off the deep end. Like no one even talks about the tons of high quality mmos that come here from Korea because usually the wallet warrior aspect is so high they can't retain ppl at endgame.
Then it just solidified with mobile making free + micro the model, and we are where we are. Really sucks, because the F2P games just drive most people out when they hit endgame; you literally can't afford to be competitive.

It doesn't even make sense, either. The whole 'businesses exist to make money' angle. Yes, they do - but that doesn't mean that profit at any cost should be justified. There's a reason why things are regulated heavily - if you cut corners with food, it's a health and sanitation risk. If you cut corners with a paid service, it's going to lead to problems later down the road and dissatisfied customers. If valid complaints are ignored, it may not result in big losses immediately but every scandal is a risk of being the straw that breaks the camel's back for a number of players.
I'd point to CD Projekt as one of the better modern game development studios. The Witcher 3 was a huge, richly detailed game with no dodgy micro-transactions and the DLC was very meaty and well worth the money. Sadly, this is the exception rather than the rule - so many other games have launched with the 'bare bones' and then charge extra for content that should have been there to begin with. FFXV is a glaring example. Key events weren't present in-game...you had to pay money to unlock and play through them later.
Dissidia NT also released in a very bare bones manner. I don't mind spending money on video-games. I do, however, expect it to be handled tastefully - adding more and more optional services when already charging for a subscription fee actually makes it worse than a F2P MMO in some ways, since they tend to be designed to accommodate such an approach from the get go and don't offer up any illusions that they're something that they aren't.
