JP generally tend to spend more money on entertainment than NA/EU. Even if the game was released in NA/EU with bigger playerbase, most of the game income will come from JP. So it is natural that the company will be more focused on who is willing to paying more.

I am looking forward to using the APP, the pay features add the convenience of not having the be home to monitor and change pricing on the items I have on the MB. Plus who know might be able to catch some great deals on items now. Will also be super helpful during new patch rushes, and new expansion rushes. For me personally this is a welcomed feature and cannot wait to use it.

I can understand why some do not like the idea, but for someone that enjoys crafting and making gil this app is prefect and for me will be well worth the price. To me this is no different from paying for additional retainers. Not something that is needed, and one can still reach the gil cap without paying for extras but the extras simply make it easier. This pay for convenience in my eyes.

Only if you pay $5/month premium PLUS extra for the virtual currency though. $5/month only lets you revise 2 listings per day (as far as we can tell). lol.

basic UI feature (moving items from retainer to retainer) should not be locked behind a second sub
second, if you are a full time crafter, this lets you have 400 slots of sales at a push of a button to change those prices, while on your main is 400 more slots. As far as the MB is conserd this app crosses the line into pay to win.

Say no to any form of pay to win, no reason base sub should be this disadvantaged then someone doing p2w on the MB.

I am shocked the Japanese community is supporting this, sure if the game was worth 34 dollars a month but the flop dresser and reskining fate running? Where is our money going? there is nothing extra being put into the game, so why do we need pay more when the game is lacking to begin with?

your sub pays for it, now we see why game companies do this, people fall for the rip off thinking they are getting something extra for their money. I bet you they would still have a huge profit by making it free. This should be in the BASE game, we are not seeing much out of 10 EUR up to 28 EUR a month.

If we saw results of more money being put in and not the same treadmill over and over again, maybe you have a point. The game is laggy and delayed..

here, this is why SE shouldn't be charging us extra fees per month, stuff like this needs to be fixed and feel more finalized. (Eureka was beta, glam dresser is beta) stop giving us beta as final release, put more money in the game for gods sake.

You are not paying for convenience, you are showing SE why they can he more shady in the future.

I just went through this over the last 2-3 years of my 7 year run with the game DC Universe Online. In fact it was the constant and ever increasing appearance of pay walls/seeds of pay walls that drove me to stop playing and come back here (I started and left FFXIV in 2015). This MMO offers way more for it's subscription than DCUO, and I do still love that game.

I've only spent a short amount of time with this game and I already love nearly everything about it, but I really hope I don't have to experience that same disappointment again...so I remain optimistic.

I know better than to judge by what I experience in forums. Although I'd be lying if I said all these posts don't sound exactly like the same complaints we longtime players had with DCUO slowly leaning further and further into pay walls/micro-transactions.

However, after talking to my boyfriend (Japanese), I'm disheartened to hear... the Japanese community is mostly POSITIVE about the announcement. 75% of people polled said they would be happy to pay for the app and some even said they would pay MORE. When I expressed my concerns to my bf, he told me that the player base they target in Japan is mostly adults with a steady income, where this is their only form of entertainment and so they have no issues to pay for it and have the traditional mindset of Japanese people where paying more = quality.

So we really need to push back hard if we want to make it clear that the western player base won't stand for it. But seeing the feedback from the Japanese community.... I'm not sure if it will make a difference. :/

Personally I find it hard to tell if they like it or not because there hasn't been a single topic in the JP forums about it - positive or negative.

from my understanding they are complaining the cost is too much (I/e you are not getting enough for 500 yen price tag) in other words this poster like more functions to meet a 500 yen value or reduce the cost down to say 200 yen.

I still find it disappointing as locking retainer UI management on a second sub is ridiculous
