Just be glad the crystals and boxes stack to 999 now. It could be a whole lot worse. I understand the frustration of them causing inventory bloat thoigh, I have over 12k of them, and I’m considering using one of my retainers to store them.

I do not care. You can make anything seem good by saying it can be worse because y reason.

A simple solution is to scrap lockboxes entirely and port over the spoils system from Diadem. That was one of the very few things Diadem did well. Collect x amount of spoils, trade them in for items you actually wanted.

As for the lockboxes themselves, the question is: Was this massive lockbox acquisition, consequence of the NM train, really intended from a dev. standpoint? They had to tweak the crystal convertion rate options for a reason. They probably didn't expect this to happen.

It is a mess regardless, esp when you have people saying they opened 1k+ and not found a mount or whatever. This place was clearly released unfinished and with the delays I sit here asking how and why. My issue with them releasing new content in general is that they do not consider inventory issues and blindly add to the problem
