Btw OP: this isnt your main character right? I mean according to the lodestone you're only lv60 with nothing else. And you have to be lv70 to get into eureka.
Just asking.

I love this post. This is why your other post derailed. You're exaggerating. Yes, in Eureka, the number of lockboxes was clearly stupid. Whether or not they're stored as currency is beside the point - one should never have gotten thousands of them in the first place. But there's been no other content released in quite some time - certainly since Stormblood - that featured improper design which unnecessarily contributed to inventory bloat. Who knows why they did it - the point is, it's an aberration, not a trend. It takes a tremendous feat of tunnel vision and bias to suggest anything else.
No I am not. My thread got derailed because people want to white knight SE. All those sigma currencies? the items you need turn in this item or that to upgrade? i think I put 120 (at lest) currencies on my SO's retainer, why in the hell you think it took 2 hours? It was hell trying to find everything, the retainer interface is bad, item bloat is insanely bad, I am mind boggled how anyone can defend this.
Trying to sort out inventory because you can't go retainer to retainer (or have a better interface in general, one spot, just have tabs) and such? No reason to make inventory management this bad. (while lacking tools to make it easier to manage)

Inventory bloat...? You're not suppose to keep everything in an MMO? Are you literally going to keep all of those Sharlayan Wardrobes? Those useless fireworks? Minions that you can only use one time instead of selling or giving them away to buddies? All of that Anemos glamour crap? Or the Level V Materia?https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...oxes_and_some/
I feel the other thread I made is a lost cause so I thought I try to explain matters in a different way.
This game lacks inventory space in the sense the game overbloats us with items. Every patch it is always something to make it worse. eureka is moving to its 4th week and it puts too much strain though lockboxes. Why does the game give us so many lockboxes to deal with? it is too many items. I do not even bother turning them in because of the overbloat of items compared to our tiny inventory space.
All they needed to do was make eureka stuff into a currency tab, lockboxes should be in currency in currency tab, the 2 types of crystals should be put in inventory tab.
No they pick the most inventory bloat methods possible for reasons?
No, you're going to either get rid of useless fluff or turn all of that level V materia into crafting and gathering materia (hopefully, based on RNG) that sells for more....you're going to turn those VI's that you don't need into crafting/gathering materia to sell as well.
Seriously, you're exaggerating the lockbox situation as you did with the storage topic and if anything sucks, it's the idea that we have to do one lockbox at a time when you have like 250 to go through. But, lots of people have made macros for that.
Furthermore, why isn't your SO using those Sigma currencies for gear? That's a question you should really be asking and if they aren't using the normal Sigma gear....why are they lotting on it then...? Heck, why are they running it then?

it takes too long to deal with, did you read the link at all? it took 9 hours to deal with.Inventory bloat...? You're not suppose to keep everything in an MMO? I am not exaggerating anything. I am giving you a fact. I do not want to even deal with the lockboxes because it takes too long to do so, because of the insane inventory bloat behind them.
You just want to deflate the problem, for whatever reason, underestimating how long it takes to deal with that, esp when you are talking about converting the materia and such, the only way to make it reasonable is to toss it all that you got more then 1 of, even the materia and such, so you can find the mount and other rare stuff. Even then, that is too much clicking, hence what i linked was complaining about.
It is not exaggerating to say I am not going to trade in 1800 lockboxes from the time sink and excessive clicking it takes to do that. You may not think it is a problem, maybe your hands are immune to carpal tunnel. I do not know, nor do I care. I find it insulting to claim I am over exaggerating though.
For "why are you keeping sigma currency" you do realize YOU HAVE TO?!?!?! if you go after legs and body, that's 4 weeks of not being able do anything with an item, then once you do hit that 4th week, on the 5th week you are holding again! never ends, and 7 weeks for weapon.

Other people's opinions, including your own, are not facts. Facts are backed by historical or scientific evidence like the idea that cheetahs can break speeds of 68-75 mph when they run in short bursts. Someone complaining that it took them 9 hours to open MMO lockboxes is a personal opinion that some people or none at all need to take seriously.
You're really making it worst on yourself by letting them sit there, just saying.
Well, if you want to toss free gil away since I've made 320,000 on Craftsman's Cunning VI that I earn through Eureka, more power to you, I guess...? I don't know what the going rate on Ragnarok is, but free gil without me crafting or gathering is free gil.You just want to deflate the problem, for whatever reason, underestimating how long it takes to deal with that, esp when you are talking about converting the materia and such, the only way to make it reasonable is to toss it all that you got more then 1 of, even the materia and such, so you can find the mount and other rare stuff. Even then, that is too much clicking, hence what i linked was complaining about.
Again, that's why I said you're making it harder on yourself in the long run by hoarding 1,800 lockboxes, but you do you....I'm sure later down the road you'll make another topic where you blame everyone else around you, including SE, because they told you through sweet whispers that you should hoard 1,800 lockboxes. And darling, I've worked on computers all of my life because my job requires me to be in front of a screen, I probably already have carpal tunnel...hell, I've got reading glasses now for computer work. I'm pretty sure I'll get carpal tunnel faster from typing on my laptop than from holding a controller unless you click things with a death grip. I should find it insulting that you immediately restort towards strawman tactics over health concerns not even relevant towards the conversation because I merely said that you were blowing things out of proportion, dialing a situation that's at 2 to 150 and now you're suddenly hostile that I used "mean words". Which, judging by the fact that you think people telling you to calm down is grounds of an insult. Yea.....It is not exaggerating to say I am not going to trade in 1800 lockboxes from the time sink and excessive clicking it takes to do that. You may not think it is a problem, maybe your hands are immune to carpal tunnel. I do not know, nor do I care. I find it insulting to claim I am over exaggerating though.
Well, you could run Savage content or use your crystals to make Anemos relic gear and then you won't have to hold Sigma normal currencies...? Or get crafted gear? I mean, you've got other options. Sigma normal has been out for how many weeks now? How many shafts and springs are they holding out exactly? Unless they started Sigma normal late into the game, but by now, most people have at least one of their tome weapons.
Being passive aggressive and belligerent isn't winning you any brownie points here. Also, that reverse psychology won't work. Nice try.

Too much clicking in an MMO.
Well, I've seen it all.
♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Possibly...possibly not. I'm also holding onto mine hoping against hope that they change how many we can open at once(0.00000000000000000001% chance of it happening quite likely), or changing the rates/items in it to all be trade able. Though, I might sit there once I hit a certain point and just watch a movie while I open them...
The only major issue is that the seasonal fireworks and other items are, well, not seasonal, and they don't retire old token items from places like Alexander when the next expansion hits. They should just make the old raid token items gray items that can be turned in for some kind of currency and make old Alexander gear purchasable via poetics.
Also, they seriously need alternative ways to get the old primal craft items. There's no way people are going to keep farming bird mounts and eventually all the supply is just going to dry up. This basically already happened with Fiend Sap.
