Remove Protean Crystal Requirement for First Quest

Only way i could see you with zero protean is only partaking in ridiculously high NM's, or simply being AFK in all NM's AND everyone else in your pty also not participating.

Or, y'know, they could be grouped up with players that are far higher in level, who also participate in the mob killing (which is often the case with NM train groups)
It's not just exp that's greatly affected by lvl differences, but loot drops as well. I didn't start getting protean crystals randomly from mobs, while in a NM group, until I got closer to 20.

First; your probably not looking at your inventory if you have done some fates you should of gotten at least one.

Two; you skipped the dialog, your anti social and have not asked for help.

Sure, it got me plenty of Anemos crystals, but those are completely useless at that point, since the option to convert them doesn't unlock until after you've shown a protean crystal to Krile.

Fair point, still is 100% in their court though. Pair up with similar leveled people. Use player search to make it happen.

Or they could just allow players to show an Anemos crystal to Krile instead.

I mean, the quest is about keeping Rowena happy and showing a crystal that could potentially be sold for a lot. Why wouldn't she prefer a crystal that's actually worth more (since an anemos crystal can be converted to 2-5 protean crystals)?

Hmmm kind of odd first 3 levels I had around 35 if the smaller crystals, i was doing consecutive chains and was well geared, and mobs 1-2 levels above mind made them drop faster, was risky though. So unless you were not making chains I can believe that reason. Did you at any point make it to chain 30? those were usually guarantee 1-10 if solo, 5-15 in duo. Only other reason I could see is that you are just plain unlucky with RNG.

I had at least two chains close to 30, soloing equal level mobs as a squishy RDM. I had vercure taking up dps time, which eventually caused me to drop both chains before reaching 30. This was before the knowledge of the eurekan potion being really strong for soloing, which is what eventually allowed me to still get a few high chains at lvl 10, while missing magicite.
