Everyone should be able to play it, gender restrictions are stupid.

I don't really care if a guy doing a provocative dance makes certain people uncomfortable, it's a get over it comment. If they can't get over it, then maybe they need a more sheltered gaming experience.

Man, I get sad when I see threads like this. Implying that male sensuality is icky and forbidden and that only women are allowed to be treated like sexual objects. It's 2018, people! There's a whole other half of the population that can be exploited here. "Equal Opportunity", am I right?

Real talk, let me dance to heal. And don't give me more dresses- my potential healer wardrobe is bursting at the seams with robes, skirts, and dresses that I don't want to wear. Men like to dress up and look like men too SE- yes, even us healers.

It's sad in a way that in 2018 (yup - I said it) we still have the notion that a default Dancer is a scantily clad female who would 'heal her allies through booty-shaking and impressive jiggle physics'.

As a male dancer let me say...

First: John Travolta, Fred Astaire, and all of Broadway would be very disappointed if Dancer was a female-only class.

Second: The main difference between male and female dancing in social or performance styles is how you move your arms/hold your hands for certain movements that are basically just ‘arm flair’ and males don’t move their hips as much as females (we still move them, though). We still do all the same moves.

The idea that only girls should be dancing, and that dancing has to be all about sexy movements is completely off from what most dancing actually is. Most structured dancing is used to express song and emotion through movement, which is likely what would be used to make the dancer class - not 'sexy club dancing'.

If you're worried about guys having to wear dresses, check out the recent winter olympics figure skating events. Plenty of dance costumes to see there.
