What's your first impression of Eureka?

i got to lvl 17 last night and after seeing all the work i put into it amounted to a single cutscene that basically went 'lol i bet you wish you knew who i was? sub for another 6 months why dont you!' -_-

i cant even muster up the will power to get to lvl 19 to get the feathers for the relic. my sole reason and motivation for getting this far is because i wanted to know more about this place and what happened to it and also i wanted to know more about val its self and the ppl who lived there and see if there just stuck up self important dicks like most (if not all) Sharlayans are or if they have there own motivations. but no. we just get along silence with a stupid 'to be continued' just plain fucking crap -_-

tell them to git gud they'll actually earn more EXP.frankly, a "sync feature" wouldn't really do much for you. If your friends already have trouble getting to FATEs, you being at their level won't change anything. Just join the train.

If you want to help with chain parties you can always heal them outside of the party, I know it's not much but at least it's something..alternatively you can delevel to 12-13?

I view this comment as part as to why we cant have nice things because comments like that is what makes it that we are unable to display that we stand solid on a topic because one minute you say yes & then the other second you say no, changing camp like this on "official" forums statements is the equivalent of someone joining my party for xp & then try to push "my/our group" to move to nm train & then when we dont because we stand our ground they leave & so next person that join do the same but in the end minus being a waste of time, we keep going with the exp chain minus when the train come & wreck our targets.Read my posts if you want,I claimed it several times already that ppl change opinions & its never good,settle down because, sadly comments like what you said is what make it seem that most players dont care & then "they" understand "make it seem" in census that what we care more about is CUTE MINIONS vs REAL CONTENT.Stop putting dung in my dbox ppl!

Yes they bring out only the positive side of the community, thats why we had a thread on the forum that was nothing but bashing on us that dislike it (and got deleted by the mods), thats why there is seemingly quite a bit of a problem with players killing others by pulling high level stuff in it on purpose. (Seen it myself) Thats why people are told to split up to spawn faster but the other party still did not feel the need to wait on the second group which barely made it back. Thats why High lvl players are annoyed when we said that we wanted to spawn lower lvl NM so that we also got some stuff from it and yet the train comes and zergs down the low levels without at least waiting a bit. That I was in a group where I lost exp twice because people did not want to raise us (NM was more important) and my own group just left me death and just killed the NM and dispanded afterwards. That we have high level players that leave all the pulled adds alive when another NM spawns at a different point, nearly wiping the rest of us and attacking the other NM too without waiting. Its so positive that people jump instances because they only care about Pazuzu. That someone trolls a group of higher level players by sending them to a hard fate while not going themselves and leaving some of them to die.

I am not saying that its only a bad place but please can we stop with just seeing that as only positive too? We have enough good stories but also more than enough bad ones.

I felt like i had to bring that one back just to say that this is a nice & true post imo Alleo you got good examples.I agree that it seems they only bring up positive aspects of the community to a high% & that is why most ppl seems to be getting to the acceptance of junk for minions! Oh highlight! the community is all about cuteness!

Wait so there is nothing even much at lvl17? I found both the relic "story" and the Krile story part up to 11 not that great but hoped that it would get better in the end..it realls smells more like: Well you NEED to play the rest of the coming Eureka part otherwise you will never get it thus forcing those that are interested in the story into going into more and more grinds..well now I dont regret of even getting that far.

Story in this feels even worse than the Omega story line...which is already not that great imo. Why couldnt they have made just one single big Eureka with all parts from the start (and maybe also all the mechanics in it) and with the complete story? What if Eureka truly flops? I mean they also once told us that Diadem would get more parts but we never got that either..

Thanks. I posted them because I knew of people that went through that and because I have seen most of them myself too. Its not like they arent good sides either. I have people going half the map just to rezz someone and then one of my group members came back to let me ride on their chocobo. I also did like all the bear puns that people came up with. So it also has good interactions but honestly thats not something exclusive to Eureka. Have more actions in the world itself and you would also see both sides outside of Eureka too but sadly we dont have much content in the world that let us be a community. So imo it would have been nice to see some of this in the normal world and then we wouldnt even need Eureka.

This is what modern mmorpg about where you are only offer with two options: Raid or PvP.
At least FF14 is a theme park and gave you few more options: housing, crafting, and relic grinding.
Story wise, it is really because Krile is never a strong character and she yet get her chance to shine like Y'shtola.
This is a phase 1 and Yoship already announced further improvements and new features for phase 2.
If you still don't like, no once can force you to change your mind

No thank you. I think I decide myself when I step back from things. This is a game that has a big point on its story. (Being FF and all that) So yes I kinda expect it to be good in this part too, especially since this is about a very important story plot from ARR. If you are fine with that then good, but again we have the right to talk about stuff we dont like too. And yes I still like enough in FF14 otherwise I would not keep playing it.

And no Krile is already an interesting character imo and its not her fault that even in this story she is now nothing more than a quest giver. I dont care that this is only phase 1. They told us a lot in other content too..that Diadem would get more additions, that they listened, that we would never get that and yet we have it (housing timer for example) When I am in a restaurant with a five course menue and one part is for my taste horrible then I will still call that out even if maybe the rest still tastes great.

I like Eureka, however if SE don't update it regularly (and they have to if all Relic steps are going to take place in Eureka), then it'll eventually become stale and I'll be disappointed in SE.
If you're saying that I'm not allowed to be disappointed over time (gonna repeat myself: content not being updated regularly. Key Item/Treasure Hunt spawn NM's could be a realistic step for 4.35) and that I can only be "I love it!" or "I hate it!" then you're not being very reasonable.

By the way Vstarstruck, there's a possibility Eureka wouldn't be released until they got the 999 stack thing finalised. Can you imagine having...5-10 stacks of 99 Lockboxes and Protean/Anemos Crystals? Even those of us who like Eureka wouldn't find this acceptable.

Pulling things "early" has always been a point of contention but I've never really blamed people for attacking things as soon as they got there. It'd be NICE to wait, but it's not trolling to pull as soon as you can as long as you can handle the encounter.
the toxicity I'm talking about though is more the people using the new (in FFXIV) mechanics. Like xp gimping (I'll get into this on your other question) or training monsters on top of lowbies who are already surrounded by threats or training unnecessary trash into a NM swarm.

I'll be honest and say I haven't seen that many AFK players getting killed by MPKers, but I have seen people just running through NM's with a monster on their tail and then dumping it in the middle of the fight (and if it cleaves or does non-telegraphed AoE's, gets people killed). It'd be nice if they could try to leash the mob before running into the mosh pit, or, as harsh as it is for me to say this, I kinda wish the people with those mobs on their tail would let it catch'n'kill them a little ways away from the NM group. They'll be Raised if they shout and they're nearby (if NM's are exactly like FATE's, then I could do enough damage on one, leave the FATE and then Raise people who died on the way. This is assuming I'll still get Gold Rewards, even if I technically 'flee'd').

Going back to MPKing AFKers, this can be reported (and if it's the same person doing it more than twice, report + never invite/raise them. I know it sounds harsh, but would you really Raise or invite someone who is intentionally KOing people because "they're AFK leeches and not contributing"). Low level people are only AFKing in high level areas because people don't wait when the NM spawns and as I said before, if people did wait, then low levels could be off trying to spawn their own low level NM, or just chain killing mobs they can kill while waiting for other NM's to spawn.
