We\\'ll see in the future if SQEX, and Yoshi-P particularly, steps up again to try and acknowledge in some way (be it trying to sell us another piece of content as "it's not gonna be like Eureka, promise" or as "Eureka revisited a la Diadem 2.0!") that Eureka wasn't "what they expected". My money's on that, as they've proven time and again that it's their MO. Like I said, we'll see, but we're seeing the exact same reaction on both parts that we saw in both Diadem 1.0 and then Diadem 2.0. Not even this is new in any way.

Hmmmm. My memory is probably very off (I wouldn't be surprised, I'm old!), but I don't remember Diadem ever having this amount of defenders. V1 was near universally reviled, and V2, only slightly less so, and only because it was amazing for the gatherers.

This time around, I feel one could mount a reasonable defense of Eureka and be ok...there are some things it does get right, or at the very least, better than Diadem. Still, no one in their right mind would try to claim perfection. I've yet to see or hear anyone on here, Reddit, or in-game claim that Eureka is golden the way it currently is.

I was talking about the reaction on both parts, not the same amount on each one of them. It's all speculation on my end, but it's been a steady response from Square each time something "big" failed.
