I hate it. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I didn't no-life it and am only level 4. The only parties recruiting, which seems to be essential, are way over my level. I don't get exp from monsters in those groups. All I do is run and try not to die. Every NM is in parts of the map I shouldn't be - but if I don't go there, no chance at ever progressing. It is miserable. I keep trying again and again just to face the same scenario over and over. I'm about to just give up and not bother with the relic weapon. It isn't worth the sheer amount of frustration I'm feeling.

You could just leave the instance and most times you end up joining another one. It's not a perfect solution of course, you could end up in another instance in a similar situation. But still, gives you the chance to be somewhere better.

I think the lack of RNG SE referred to is likely the rewards from the fates. If you're an appropriate level or above you always get the currency you need for gear if you get a gold rating.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut the fates can be downright unpleasant at times when party members and mobs start disappearing so doing basic combat actions becomes a frustrating chore, which can make getting a gold rating very difficult at times. I love Eureka but my gosh this infuriates me greatly.

There was census some time ago that showed that less than 5% of the playerbase actually use the official forum. Zetsumei_Tsunarashi's signature even quote that anecdote, and I really doubt it changed drastically since then.

(From what im reading)That is far/FAR from a -5% of the playerbase actually using the official forum like you claim so, unless I read that wrong & the active players aren't at the same #'s & considering that I see many players unsubscribing lately... you can just go up the ladder (in theory) less players could mean that active players that do post on the forums gain in %(again unless I am wrong) OR more players could also mean more players posting nowadays too.HIGHGLIGHT
Even if we take lowest numbers which are the japaneses players according to this, that is still a 15.4% on posting which equal x3 what you stated there...

FFXI managed to keep a dedicated fanbase because it didn't shy from evolving and trying new things.In fact, I still ~~~~(think???)~~~~XI will still outlive XIV, despite being way older.

On that note, I sure hope that you are correct there.
