Yeah it has nothing to do with FFXI outside abyssea. The only FFXI feel I get from there is seeing shout for raises, but people do that in the ffxiv world, just not as common.

I just do not get how someone is "happy" with something we had already:

Doing the same thing as diadem 2.0 does not validate 17 months of programing.

So yes, they've had 17 months to get it right.

Included are certain gems such as:

Yoshida: It is the second expansion pack, and if we were to do the same thing all over again, a lot of people would get tired of it.
Yoshida: We did make adjustments to the Diadem after receiving feedback, but the thought process behind [Eureka and Diadem] is completely different.
Yoshida: Whatever the case is, it will be a content that doesn’t exist in FFXIV.
They could put relic fate farm in diadem 2.0 and save a ton of time in programing time while getting the same effect.

huh? How does it even remotely resemble that? in old FFXI, things followed you forever, here if you run like 30 steps they stop following. I am not sure but I do not even think ffxi's update depop thing is even that short.

With everyone I asked how does it remind them of FFXI, all I get for answers is glam gear and some kind of danger (that really doesn't exist)? but they act like it does because reasons?
