On paper that doesn't sound that bad. I'd rather do that than doing lights again (which we probably get at some point anyhow)
On paper it doesn't sound bad, but you need to realize this is all you'll be doing for at least 2 hours a day for several months with no other things to work on. Other Relics had multiple methods of moving forward at the most grindy of parts, this does not.
I'd take light over this. While neither is particularly compelling, I have a choice in the content I run. And even though A1S was a joke. He still had some mechanics. Eureka? It's trash mobs with autos and an actual line aoe.
And to answer your prior question. A full relic set necessitates 4,300 crystals. They drop rather infrequently from killing mobs. You will be pulling one or two re-skinned mobs for hours, doing nothing but spamming your baseline rotation. Imagine practicing on a target dummy. That's essentially all Eureka offers, albeit four potentially hundreds of hours. Keep in mind, you also need to increase your elemental level, which requires even more grinding. The gains are punishingly slow. After all this, what are you awarded with? An i355 weapon and i350 left side gear—all of which has five guaranteed materia slots. So this arduous grind offers slightly better alternatives to something you can buy off the market board.
That's the problem. Not only is the gameplay incredibly dull and uninspired. The rewards just aren't worth the investment.

I really enjoyed it. I had a great party and we challenged mobs 3 to 4 levels higher than the tanks. We were hitting chains of 30 before it just stopped chaining and restarted. I then challenged an nm with and undersized party and wiped. But had a lot of fun and the feeling that you had to play well and difficulty of the enemies was fun. Nice to have something we can invest time into and not instantly complete. I'm sure at higher levels we will be pulling 1 mob at a time. I'd like to try the 1 tank 1 healer party comp with single pulls.
dunno if its just me but how do u guys feel that they put krile's isle of val story in this more importantly stuck it in in my opinion boring content cuz i had to sigh at this its the only real reason im doing eureka just feels dunno the word sneaky they put it in this.
The story is what helps me get through this. More so than any relic, a bit of story I'm interested in is a better award for me.dunno if its just me but how do u guys feel that they put krile's isle of val story in this more importantly stuck it in in my opinion boring content cuz i had to sigh at this its the only real reason im doing eureka just feels dunno the word sneaky they put it in this.
I'm loving the eureka memes.

So I take it Eureka was a flop and the dev team must suck to suck?
I think when something obviously flops like a fish it might be time to scrap the poor implementation of a concept and do something else. Make interesting and new content. Diadem failed. Let's not rehash it 3 times yeah?
From what I've seen it's just farming mobs and for the most part FATES were just farming mobs too. And people are tired of that?
And probably has little in the way of world building in regards to Eorzea.
Though I haven't even done the level 5 quest yet, I dare say the plot premise behind it might just be its strongest point. It tackles one of the mysteries we've had around since the happy days of ARR.
