    I kind of like Eureka, however let's compile some improvements we'd like to see:

    I think the devs have really tried to give us things we have asked for in Eureka, but they have a habit of misinterpreting things (looking at you; question about race specific 1.0 model underwear) or perhaps other languages are asking for similar (but not the same) kind of things the English speaking forum is.


    Past player requests I can see they implemented in Eureka:
    -Asking for elements to mean something,
    -Asking for XI 2.0,
    -For non linear content that isn't a complete faceroll (well in this case its mostly a different kind of style to play)
    -For relic equipment not just weapons,
    -For spawnable NMs that reward you,
    -For more danger in the world

    etc. Multiple requests of ours were peppered into Eureka.


    Maybe other people can make suggestions on improvements too, but I for one would like to see:

    -Level Sync
    It's nice to chat with the new people I've met while grinding, made it feel even more nostaglic and FFXI like. But my friends and I are different levels and I fear I simply cant play Eureka content with them for now because we are all various different levels (between LV3-LV10 atm)

    -Allow us to at least desynth the furniture and clothing from reward bags
    I have 7 helms, 8 pants and more Cabinets then I need. Not being able to trade, sell or desynth these is a little too much. At least I can give the Cabinets to FC friends via our house.

    -Allow us to sell and trade rare items
    I never wanted the Tyrannosaurus mount, but I got it. I would have loved to give it to a friend or even sell it (for more then the 1000gil sellback) It would hurt if I got the Scorpion harness and the person I know who would LOVE it didn't get it (right now I have NO idea where it comes from though)

    Personally, I would love an option to be able to gather in Eureka. I’m not sure how they could tie it in to the content or the relic, but just the option to do something other than mindlessly kill mobs or wait for NMs to spawn would be nice.

    Giving us dailies as another option to gain elemental experience/receive Protean and Anemos Crystals would also be nice, and break up the monotony of camping a particular set of mobs and chain-killing them as they spawn. Could possibly tie in DoL/DoH to it as well, to give more variety for people that enjoy gathering and crafting.

    I just want more variety in there. Right now, it feels too monotonous to me for it to be fun.

    Give me literally anything that isn't just mob grinding. Or at least disguise the grinding in a clever way with a scavenger hunt...or something.

    This, Atm the elephant in the room with Eureka is the lack of other stuff beside relics and the story

    While that seems great on paper, I feel that would turn Eureka more into a Diadem clone than it already is. Such as by adding DoL gathering points. I don't really want another repeat of people switching to gathering jobs while you're trying to farm again making it difficult to chain mobs because "player C and D" decided to go gather until a NM spawns.
    The Daily/Weeklies would also have to very because if I have already finished mine for the day, I don't want some random joining my party breaking off to go kill 30 whatever monsters when the group is over here trying to spawn NM. Dailies would become a distraction imo.

    Don't get me wrong, I love your suggestions, I just feel that those were partly to blame to Diadem's failure. The goals of individuals within a party back in Diadem differ to much because of the activities available.

    Why would you do an old school content in a MMORPG without loot table ? Give some rare goodies to have and different mobs give different things, even if it's just furniture, glamour or even TT cards, anything.

    Also, I'm not sure why boxes instead of a token shop with crafting material, materia, pots, food and stuff like this. I know that lot of things already do that, but i would completly grind mobs in Eureka for this instead of doing daily quests. I'm pretty bad with scheduled, daily type of content, I always lose track of it and end up not doing it at some point.

    Party farming at Eureka is pretty chill, don't really hate that type of content.

    Gee, it's almost like Parties aren't 100% required in Eureka like they were in Diadem, so gatherers could queue solo or together and not bother those doing battle content—just like in the overworld. Hide even works in the place so Stealth would very obviously be applicable too. Please, don't base what could be done with Eureka on the failures of Diadem, this is an over-world zone in every way other than the fact it is cross-server; gathering should have come as a standard, and people should be allowed to craft in there as well. Combat in this game is exceptionally boring on its own and not allowing players to switch from combat jobs will shorten the life of the zone once the rush to get the first stages of the relic are over.

    Considering the fact that Eureka: Anemos is not the entirety of Eureka and is just the zone for the first step, this is a problem. As it means Anemos lifespan is on a timer that is slowly ticking down with every day that passes and will die and be beyond salvation the moment people are able to get their stuff and sit idly by to wait for the next step. It is a huge oversight and your so-called concerns are unfounded in that regard. Plus, unlike Diadem you can kick crafters and gatherers and move along on your merry way—your fears haven't a leg to stand upon.

    1) I agree with more variety. Daily quests like with beastmen, with objectives to do that feel like we're making real progress.

    2) Let us desynth the items we get in there.

    3) Stop putting cheap fireworks and nonsense in the lockboxes. I didn't spend hours downing a massive monster to get a freaking sparkler. It's an insult. I'm not saying you need to put a t-rex in every one but maybe some other rare items would be nice. If that means making lockboxes rarer, that's fine.

    4) For the love of Halone, talk to us about Eureka. Why did it take so long just to end up like this? We sincerely want to know. If there's more planned for it that builds off of what we have now - tell us so!

    5) If this is going to be purely a throwback to FFXI, can we have more themed armors, like these:

    Look, i'm pretty sure NOBODY asked for gameplay like FFXI. Stop comparing FFXIV to FFXI or implementing FFXI gameplay into FFXIV. IT DOES NOT WORK else we all would be playing FFXIV 1.0 and it wouldn't have flopped.

    The majority of us who sub and chose to play FFXIV is because of it's faster GCD, the raid and etc. If you are desperate to play grinding mob nostalgia games i am pretty sure you can still play FFXI or if you want to, go and play those korean mmo grind games.
