What's your first impression of Eureka?

Okay, I understand how the leveling works. But it's still poorly designed concept. What if I get behind? How do I catch up? Hope for lowbie parties? They are plenty now but won't be for much longer. I cant tag with higher level parties because I hardly get exp and everything can one shot me in their hunting ground. I can't progress much solo, I can't do much with NMs when they are higher level, congestion aside, you are likely to die just getting to it.

There is no choice but to slave over this while the content is active or not do it at all.

You can join higher level parties. We had a lvl3 Scholar yesterday and we were all lv 8-9, we killed stuff and did some NMs and the Scholar leveled up to lv6 in an hour. There's space for everyone if they accept you, and so far you can go to higher level parties as a healer, since you will heal the same numbers no matter your level.

If you don't have a healer, then yeah, you might need to level up with people from your level. Shout or make a PF with people around your level, and solved.
Still, with a party of 4 you can level up fast and do all NMs without any problem. There's no need to be 8 members!

I did not come to the forums for a meme, I came to the forums to show my voice that waiting for 6 months on this no content existing place should not be something to be proud of. It is diadem stripped away some extras it offered. There is nothing new to it, there is nothing innovative about it, it is flat out boring with outdated gear as rewards.

Gear will always be outdated. Every single relic was outdated. Raid gear will always be the top one, we knew that since 2.0.

And it's not Diadem, not even close. In Eureka you have your own level, and NMs spawns when you pop them (not just random FATEs like Diadem).

And it might look pretty simple, but you can use that to summarize FFXIV's content as well; "it's all about leveling up and gear up, this is so boring!"


Maybe the problem is that you don't like the game? What do you expect from an MMORPG, or what did you want Eureka to be?

And you make that sound like it's not an issue. I have two Anima weapons at Lux. I could do them whenever the hell I wanted because the content they required was completely detached and general. If it's not this dungeon it's that dungeon and I have daily and weekly quests to help me along. Granted that's post nerfs but the core concept holds - past relics were without context which means they could be done at any point a player chooses. Eureka kills that because unless they nerf it to the ground (which I imagine they ultimately will, they HAVE to with how it's built) and let monsters your level or even lower drop the items at an increased rate so you can actually complete this solo within your next three lifetimes, anyone who joins after the initial hype will never be able to get those items. Between the horrible grind and how outdated the awards will be, Eureka was not designed to last even with the glamours beying dyable, and that's horrible design no matter how enjoyable you find the content to be. Anything really worth anything being untradable will further kill it because it can't even be used as a source of revenue

You can always make a PF to find people and do it. You can kill a NM with a party of 4, since the NM syncs up to the number of people fighting it.

It doesn't seem really hard, IMO, and I bet there will be always somebody on Eureka.

Gear will always be outdated. Every single relic was outdated. Raid gear will always be the top one, we knew that since 2.0.

This one came out subpar below crafted, So you have crafted, trial, and time limited tomestone better then it (when it should be the same as the time limited tomestone on release) the final stages for everything should been i360, it was flat out released outdated, I second the post that asked you "So uh, how much are you getting paid to shill this? " I can go buy a i350 weapon right now, take 2 secs for me pull it off the mb, and have it outperform your time sink that takes too much time weapon. I also get a single job where I have 15 I levels higher then it when this outdated content was released.

You could release new things to kill stuff without a 6 month delay, it was very poorly made, this is no content. It is illusion content. Some people do not have time to play 24/7 for level 13 atm

For clarification, what are you all using to get into parties? Friends? /Shout? PF before and then enter? Make your own in-instance?

First I try to gather friends, and then fill up with a PF and/or people inside Eureka.

Still, when new raid content pops up, the Primal Extreme weapon is better than Relic. And when the next Relic step pops up, the Raid weapon is still better than the Relic (Weapon Damage is still better than substats, unless you're a Bard/Machinist) so yeah, it was never "useful".
It was meant for people who didn't do raid content and wanted a good weapon "for free".

Relic is useful at the last expansion patch, where it paired on ilvl with the last raid weapon, and since Relic is custom, it was the best option.

Right now people can have the ilv360 weapon if they did Sigmascape normal 7 weeks, and raiders has at least the ilv370 weapon from normal raiding, so what's the point? What if Relic was ilv365? It would be irrelevant still.


For me, relic was just a glamour. I did all my relic steps anyways, but I didn't really need to. And right now I'm farming for the new relic/AF upgrade just for the glamour.

Well the only thing that 9h of eureka did to me is install tree of savior and stop my FF subscription cause there is nothing to do,but eh,people like it now LEL

Already telling someone "maybe the problem is that you dont like the game" or "maybe this isnt the right mmo for you" pisses me off. If it wouldnt be anyone's game, we wouldnt be here to give ideas and feedback about SE's current content.
