Here are my thoughts on Eureka
Positives and Things that are Okay
+I like that you can play it as any level 70 job and get the gear from any of them versus having to just sticking with the same job for the whole grind.
=NMs. They're alright. They're the standard FATE boss or S Rank hunt monster.
=The Elemental Wheel. It's a good start.
Suggestions
-The grind is monotonous. You're only killing regular monsters and/or waiting for/trying to force an NM to spawn. It can get boring pretty fast, even with friends. I would suggest adding both daily and weekly objectives to break up the monotony. One of the things like likes about Diadem versus PotD is that it had objectives that made you travel through out the map.
-Allow players to bring their chocobos. This would help those who are soloing.
-Please remove the fireworks from the Lockboxes and replace them with better prizes. You could even give people consumable items that would be useful in Eureka like potions, status ailment cures, and Phoenix Downs, just don't get too heavy handed with them.
-The gear upgrades just don't feel rewarding enough even for the people who don't do savage. At this point, if a player has been doing their weekly tome grind, they should have amassed enough tomes to buy their shirt, their pants, and 10 Rowena seals to go towards their weapon, most of which are all better then the +2 gear. Maybe the Augmented +2 gear is better but it looks like we can't see them until we can trade in for them. I know you guys want it to be Savage gear > Tomes = Eureka but why bother doing this monotonous grind when tomes have a guaranteed chance of dropping and can be planned out.
-In the future, when people say they want the game to be like XI or another older MMORPG, realize that they mean they want more mechanical depth in fights and jobs, rewards that last longer then 1 or 2 patches, and content that is still meaningful past its expansion (looking at you Alexander), not monotonous grinds. >x>()
