    Here are my thoughts on Eureka

    Positives and Things that are Okay
    +I like that you can play it as any level 70 job and get the gear from any of them versus having to just sticking with the same job for the whole grind.
    =NMs. They're alright. They're the standard FATE boss or S Rank hunt monster.
    =The Elemental Wheel. It's a good start.

    Suggestions
    -The grind is monotonous. You're only killing regular monsters and/or waiting for/trying to force an NM to spawn. It can get boring pretty fast, even with friends. I would suggest adding both daily and weekly objectives to break up the monotony. One of the things like likes about Diadem versus PotD is that it had objectives that made you travel through out the map.
    -Allow players to bring their chocobos. This would help those who are soloing.
    -Please remove the fireworks from the Lockboxes and replace them with better prizes. You could even give people consumable items that would be useful in Eureka like potions, status ailment cures, and Phoenix Downs, just don't get too heavy handed with them.
    -The gear upgrades just don't feel rewarding enough even for the people who don't do savage. At this point, if a player has been doing their weekly tome grind, they should have amassed enough tomes to buy their shirt, their pants, and 10 Rowena seals to go towards their weapon, most of which are all better then the +2 gear. Maybe the Augmented +2 gear is better but it looks like we can't see them until we can trade in for them. I know you guys want it to be Savage gear > Tomes = Eureka but why bother doing this monotonous grind when tomes have a guaranteed chance of dropping and can be planned out.
    -In the future, when people say they want the game to be like XI or another older MMORPG, realize that they mean they want more mechanical depth in fights and jobs, rewards that last longer then 1 or 2 patches, and content that is still meaningful past its expansion (looking at you Alexander), not monotonous grinds. >x>()

    On this point in particular: don't speak for people.

    "When people say X they mean Y" is disrespectful to the original speakers whom you haven't been elected to represent. I've now seen "When people say they want the game to be more like XI they mean..." conclude with a half dozen different things that apparently "people mean." Just don't speak for other people. Offer your own opinions and feedback and don't try to speak for others.

    "Eureka" Phoenix Feathers that work the same as they usually do in solo content - autoraise. Put a cooldown of 180 minutes on them so that they can't be abused but do serve as a single chance per Eureka run (of 180 minutes) for a solo player to survive a knockout without the severe exp loss. It's all well & good relying on a friendly player to raise you but we all know that things happen.

    Loot. Visually unique, level diverse, useful, desirable loot. Make NMs drop it, along with spawn items for bigger NMs, with better loot, mounts, and minions.
    Give us people who won't fall for the relic grind trap a reason to bother with Eureka. I would gladly live there if I could farm all sorts of gear for my main and alt jobs at all levels.

    Also, why do you need to be level 70 to unlock it if it has its own leveling system? Just let all players be able to access it. This would go nicely with the loot suggestion.

    Was discussing this with a friend, but actually called them scrolls of reraise, anyway ye this would be a great addition especially since they should've used the pomander effects to make them. (Though I wonder if that was the initial intention and then the ungarmax problem has shown a defect in their system and they are scared of what would happen if ppl could be able to use them outside)

    @recruiter I agree, the rewards outside relics are underwhelming getting some sidegrades from the zone would've been a good idea diadem at least had that

    I don't know that anyone was asking for the FFXI exp party experience. AKA the Valkurm Dunes. AKA Diadem 1.0.

    While there was a lot of things thrown out, when people think FFXI, they were thinking its endgame structure for the most part. XI was only this braindead when it came to exping, and even then it wasn't this bad.

    In my opinion, people could just play XI if they want XI.

    But I dunno what I'm talking about since I've been told by the XI community my opinion doesn't matter.

    Everyone just change the element based on the mob you're gonna chain and that's pretty much all (except the tank).

    I don't know, I thought taking advantage on the ennemy's weakness would have grant us something else.
    Chain damage multipler? Or even specific side effect from each element (water grants hot to its user, wind add dots to every attack...)
    With an additionnal effect to element, if could be more interesting to change element once in combat to get some other profit. It could actually make Eureka encountersmore unique...

    I really like them trying to implement this but they have to go further with this.

    It's really simplistic right now presumably because it's new.

    I would hope that as we progress, they will start to get a little more clever with it. I am imagining mobs that can change their element mid battle, or maybe do so in combination with slowly unleashing a big attack (possibly killing people who don't bother to adjust their boards)

    We're not seeing anything like that yet though because at the low levels we don't have enough points on the board anyway to be able to design important survival mechanics around it, plus it would be too much of a turn off to those new to the mechanic (and honestly, Eureka has enough problems along those lines as it is right now. Obviously, anything clever they eventually do with it would be rendered moot if nobody even plays the content up until that point )

    The portals spawned by the NM numbers have different elemental properties than him of note (post 50%) Numbers is thunder element and he spawns a wind elemental portal and then a Ice one later in the fight
