Honestly even most of those people are probably now realizing they had their nostalgia glasses on when they asked for that.
And honestly XI was more interesting than this.
I got to level 2 before being bored. 48 xp per mob and 2300 for a level while everything being locked behind them? No thanks.
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.
went in with 5 ppl, ran away from the mobs of zergs and we camped us some IT++! Life is gud! =D
I got the mapping achievement after getting smacked for 17k to as high as 70k depending on the enemies at level 3. I cant handle this at 3 AM without sleeping. I'll see what transpires after waking up but this kind of grind is a no-go for overnight.
So far, it seems like the type of content that I wanted. Something to do iwhen all the normal stuff is complete. My only real complaint is that the relic weapon and armor are just recolors..... its a lot of effort for a recolor
As someone who can't play for more than a couple of hours after work, this is worrying me. I feel like this content will have a player drought pretty soon and unless I tag to check and do some of it now, I won't have a chance week or two later. Shame you can't solo explore it. I'm reserving my comments and opinion after I give it a try tho.
Worst patch ever, they delayed, delayed, and delayed Eureka with promises that it would be different. Yet its such a grind fest that the levels take -forever- to get, anyone with any sanity what so ever wouldnt even bother to grab the armor/weapons because its not even worth it due to the ilevel and number of protean needed to even obtain the items. Its basically an even worse Diadem 1.0, i see them losing subscriptions for this.
Don't forget the sandals that allows sprinting for longer times in cities
I would have been fine with something coming from FFXI. Except as it stand this is nothing like FFXI.
Here we have :
- Pointless grind for items that aren't better than what you can get elsewhere,
- Mobs that could be a bit more dangerous than their counterparts in other area, but because anybody can hit them at the same time, they can be zerged down,
- NMs that aren't more interesting than the fates/hunts you can do in other areas from the game because they can be zerged by all the map at the same time.
If it were like FFXI, with the tagging restrictions ensuring mobs couldn't get zerged down, then it would have been interesting (even though in that case the area should have been fully instanced and limited to your group).
