There is Fates that spawn actually, I did 2 of them. They give you half a level and a bunch of lockboxes that give you random stuff with a chance to give you housing items and the new mount(s). I also got a bit of mendacity for killing it.

Did a full 3 hour run earlier in full 8p party. Only got to level 3, almost 4. And the amount of exp and terrible rate of protean crystals makes this way way worse than past relic grinds. I got 31 crystals in that 3 hours. You need thousands. Diadem is actually better. At least it has objectives. I heard the drop rate of protean crystals is higher the stronger the monsters.
Yes there are FATEs, but their spawn rate is so terrible. We only saw 1 in the full 3 hours for a single run. They give you a whopping 75% of an entire level in exp.

With friends, I found it enjoyable.![]()

Total trash, free to play RNG level mobile phone game inspired low drop rate grinder.
I've only played for an hour and up to midway level 2, but that was a very mindless one hour.
SE's way of fixing boring, dead on arrival content is to tie enticing rewards that players suffer to get rather than actually making fun content.
It's also confusing why this took so long to develop...

first impression?: endless grind and suffering

Diadem 3.0

I was just trying it yesterday, I don't even leveled up and I was bored... And I don't exactly know what's the point of the eureka's stuff? Ilvl 355 max, with 5 materia slots? Is this really interesting somewhere? I have my own kind of gameplay and sacrificing my defense for more materia doesn't feel right for me (even if a know that people is going for more more more Dps even as tank) what's the points of this?
