I know people said they wanted FF11 again, but did y'all ever consider there were people who didn't?

Honestly even most of those people are probably now realizing they had their nostalgia glasses on when they asked for that.
And honestly XI was more interesting than this.
I would have been fine with something coming from FFXI. Except as it stand this is nothing like FFXI.
Here we have :
- Pointless grind for items that aren't better than what you can get elsewhere,
- Mobs that could be a bit more dangerous than their counterparts in other area, but because anybody can hit them at the same time, they can be zerged down,
- NMs that aren't more interesting than the fates/hunts you can do in other areas from the game because they can be zerged by all the map at the same time.
If it were like FFXI, with the tagging restrictions ensuring mobs couldn't get zerged down, then it would have been interesting (even though in that case the area should have been fully instanced and limited to your group).

No nostalgia glasses here, can grind xi style in beautiful xiv graphics. So far got to level 4, chain pulled for my party as a Whm and crowd control is useful again.

Are you seriously comparing this crap piece of content (given to us for a THIRD time, by the way) with anything that ever was on FFXI? Even Besieged, which was crammed with people, enough not to see what your own character was doing, was *way* more interesting than this, in every single way.
Diadeka is a damn slap in our faces, and it's so wrong on so many levels, starting by the promise that it wouldn't be like Diadem (which, in turns, is a realization from the developers that it was terrible altogether, both versions of it), from the execution of the content itself. It is a grind, which was to be expected, but a grind that is, for the most part, useless, especially when you take into account that the most interesting reward you're gonna get is a piece of dyeable gear, a glamour. Sure, some jobs will get their share out of it in the form of an ilv350 weapon, at the expense of a morbid, mindless grind, but then again, that's stretching the worth of the reward. I don't mind a long grind, and I don't mind a long grind for a piece of glamour, but I do mind a grind when it's not fun, and even more so when I've been lied to the face again.

a shitty 350, you can spend a day at most learning byakko and get a 350 weapon too, I know the relic has more materia slots but by the time you are actually done with the grind you will most likely already have a higher ilvl tome weapon and if you raid you already have a far superior weapon too, what was SE thinking man

Sure, though that was more a disclaimer than my actual opinion on the matter. Someone argued a few pages back that their weapon was worth a damn.a shitty 350, you can spend a day at most learning byakko and get a 350 weapon too, I know the relic has more materia slots but by the time you are actually done with the grind you will most likely already have a higher ilvl tome weapon and if you raid you already have a far superior weapon too, what was SE thinking man
