No, I already specified that when said look way tactic is implied, no one gets hit. Anything else you gathered is supposition, but we're getting nowhere with this, so lets move on. The ego stroking/bandwagoning is deafening.

Yeah that was clarified awhile back in the thread. I also knew about shielding working on it, but yeah just simply turning around as if it was a gaze doesn't work since it is not a gaze.

It may point to another possibility of why Cipher thinks turning around works though. They happen to have shields and mistook the turning away as actually the reason no one got doom, but in reality it was just blocked by SCH or Noct AST shields....unsure if the shields would be strong enough while synced though to make the attack hit for 0. Unsync yeah it would definitely block it.

Hm...that could work. If they've been going in as a SCH and kept up their shields throughout the fight, then yeah, I could see this as being the reason why they've not seen doom affecting anyone. So they're wrong, but right for reasons they didn't even realize.

The only place I can find that it is stated to be a gaze is on the FFXIV wiki page(here). It's a wiki so it can be edited by anyone and watching the MTQ guide in the same link mentions nothing about such a mechanic, so...

Additionally, going on with their claim that "there are many vids" to do that, the only place I found that mentions anything at all about it being gaze is in comment sections, nowhere in the vids themselves. One example of such comment from Mizzteq's vid:





While in another, someone uploaded a vid of them, as WAR during HW, solo-ing the instance ( https://goo.gl/vvjhZ9 ) yet not once they looked away during the fight and when asked about doom, here's their reply:

If what SavageCipher meant by doing research is "scroll down the comments section without bothering to watch the vids themselves", I suppose that claim is just that, with no evidence to proof.

Thinking back on that, can that target the healer or tank? It's been so long I am not 100% sure.

Considering I had a strange twist of fate and got it in roulette, 100% targets the healer too.

Thank you. I healed the dungeon myself when I ran it current, but I it's been so long I never kept track of it. Never thought I would *need* to keep track of it.
