I'm more surprised they're able to get away with this. I'm willing to bet this is recognizable to MORE people than Dumbo. "We can't have the elephant fly with his ears, but lets have people scream and float in the air and have this giant aura around them! There's NO WAY people will know where it's from!"

Can you tell I'm salty about this (to me) waste of perfectly good resources? Hell, they could've given another dance or something that's NOT stolen from at least 1 other work...

This. It's a move that's been used in basically every other shonen series after DBZ, and quite likely in several prior. It's like saying they can't use the plot where the hero keeps getting stronger to beat stronger enemies because DBZ did it first...

Would be great idea to copy other games/animes ideas. I'm still waiting for the two crossbow job on this game. Since that archers/machinits already have it on LB. With the exception of the Dragoon the other class/job designs for final fantasy games don't look interesting for me. Just remember that every RPG is a copy of Tolkien ideas, so I see no problem there.
